Could anyone recomend a good camera for general picture taking? Our current Kodak is broken and we are in the market for a new one. We just take general pictures of vacations and birthdays/holidays, etc. Thank you.

I have an old Nikon Coolpix. Took good pictures, easy to use. Wanted a newer camera and DH bought me a Sanyo. Don't get a Sanyo. Half the pictures I take are blurry. :(

canon sd 1300 for about $110 online

$109.99 in store at Target, if they're not sold out. They won't match another store's price unless you bring in the circular from the newspaper. If you have a smart phone and show them that it's cheaper on another store's website, they won't match it.

$107.99 online at bestbuy.com

The sign in the Best Buy store says $179, and the camera box scans at $129 but they'll match their $107.99 online price if you make them.

I had the Kodak Easy share and loved it! All the pics in trip report in my signature are from it. I recently purchased a Fuji Finepix which was onsale at Best Buy for around $129. I intend to use it on our DCL cruise in October. So far it takes great normal pics but I really bought it for a underwater camera.

I recently returned a Kodak Easyshare. The autofocus is always trying to focus, and it makes an annoying sound when it does so. I did an Internet search, and it seems that many of the Easyshare models have this issue.

The Easyshare we bought a year or two ago did not do this.
