So, I'm taking my Canon SD1000 p&s camera. This is a 7.1 (or 7.2 I forget) camera. How much memory would I need for 6/7 days? I have 3 1 gb cards and not sure if I should get one more big one, like a 4 gb just to be safe.

What do you think? I'm also in a photopass and I am normally a camera happy person.:rotfl:

I have a Cannon PowerShot A710 IS with 7.1 mega pixels and I took it to DL (5 days) with only 3G memory and really wished I had more. I had to delete a lot just so I had some for fireworks and the character meal on our last day.

This year I have a total of 11G and I still plan on buying more. I also take videos of the parades and some of the shows.

If it' just for pictures-then you might be fine. It is a lot cheaper to buy up here if you need more than purchasing in WDW.

Check and see if you camera will use the High Capacity cards. I found out mine will and they are a better price than the smaller 1 or 2 G cards.

Thanks Squirrel, that gives me an idea. I have read about ppl taking their video cameras and I'm afraid with too much gadgets, I'll miss seeing the magic by looking through a lens, kwim? Maybe I should just take the video camera and that will ensure I use the digital camera just for pictures.... decisions, decision, decisions. DH thinks I should just take the lappy so I can download right away and use the same cards, but then I would be tempted to get onto the internet and that will be an additional expense, lol. We are staying a night in BUF before leaving, so I might just take my laptop.

I thought my camera did an excellent job of video taping the parades and shows. You can hear the music and talking quite well.

I just didn't want to lug around another thing by myself. It was enough with the camera, fanny pack and backpack last year.
