Camera equipment on wet rides tips

Thinking of buying a JVC GZ-MG330H camcorder for my next trip.Anyone have tips for protecting your equipment whilst on wet rides (apart from not taking them on the ride with you!).Is it wise to even take them on/use them on wet rides, i'm thinking of Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges in particular although i'm aware that's on the extreme end of the scale.I know certain rides have lockers provided.

JK I do not know those rides, but I would not take a camcorder on a wet ride at all. I would not even risk the bag getting wet. If you can buy a waterproof case specifically for your model (i.e. $$$) then it would be alright. If you want video, you are better off using a p&s still camera that has a decent movie mode and using something like a Aquapac that does not cost much.

I am going to place my cameras in ziploc bags inside their cases. I can get a 2 gallon bag that would hold my SLR saftely. I will also put them in my backpack for more security.

I've used the 2 gallon ziplock (sp?) bags on many rides. On Splash and Kali I've never had a problem, despite the fact that I usually am the one that gets soaking wet. In fact we wind up putting cell phones, wallets, and sunglasses in the bag as well.

We got nailed with water the last time we rode splash mountain. The first stop before getting on the ride was ask for a big disney plastic bag. We wrapped the camera in that. Thank god. It was the only thing dry!!!

I say just carry a pelican case around with you, nothing says photography like pelican. On a serious note, I would suggest grabbing a Disney Shopping bag like others have mentioned here, it works really well and costs nothing.
