Just wanted to give everyone an update. I just got back from a weekend in DC and used my new Crumpler 6MDH for the first time. Let me tell you, that sucker is BIG (in good ways and in bad). I will try to post some pics later, but here are some thoughts.
1. It was big. I was able to put my D90 w/ 18-200 attached in the center. I put my 50mm, my 60mm micro, my new Sigma 30 AND my SB600 in inner side compartments. I then loaded my memory cards, filters, charger and lens pens, as well as keys and wallet into the little netted portion, as well as the front compartment with the velcro. It holds A LOT.
2. Because it holds a lot, I felt obligated to carry a lot, which means my shoulder hurt by the end of the day.
3. The velcro
is loud, but I really like having that extra little bit of security knowing that even if I forget to do the latch, chances are my stuff won't come tumbling out.
4. The padded shoulder strap thingy was nice, but in the long run didn't seem to do all that much.
5. The bag itself felt VERY sturdy. Nice and padded and didn't have to worry about sitting it down and having it topple over.
6. On day 3, for the zoo, I switched to using my normal messenger style purse. I was able to put my D90 w/ attached 18-200 in, with the Sigma 30, a water bottle laying on top (which I know, probably isn't a safe thing to do in the future) and all of my other junk (memory cards, etc.).
For WDW, I'm either going to stick with the purse or I am going to try really hard not to worry about carrying the 6MDH fully loaded everywhere I go. I realize that even though it can hold my entire collection of junk, that doesn't mean I
have to carry it all with me.
