really only going to carry my Rebel XT with 18-55 kit lens and 70-300 zoom,(possibly 50mm if I get one before trip) The backpack I have, I couldn't access quick enough when I transitioned from pics of the animals to pics of my child. My husband carried my extra lens in his cargo pocket most of the day and I ended up watching him about as close as my child!!

The 3 would be a snug fit with that gear, you would have little room to grow in that bag. I got the 3 for when I carry my XT, 50mm and one other lens. It works well. I can squeeze one mor elens in there, but then everything is really tight. I have other larger bags though for when I want to carry more.
You might also look at one of the sling packs. They can be a backpack, then swing around to the front... like the Velocity series from Tamrac.

I forgot to add, I also carry my ipod and cell phone in my bag, they take up one of the lens spaces.

Not sure if this is the right forum to be posting this question on but I ordered one yesterday and was wondering how long it took you to get yours if you've ordered one. Thank you! :)

Just giving you a bump although you might have better luck posting this on the Budget or Theme Park board.

Thank you! Actually, I just received an email saying it has been shipped so that was quick. Only 1 day!

I have a Panasonic FZ50 and need a decent bag, its my birthday soon and trying to give folk ideas on what to buy, any help would appreciated.

bags are the bane of my existence.. i'd recommend going to a camera shop and taking your camera equipment and trying them out. i so far like the messenger style best since the backpacks are imo a pain to have to lay flat to get into. you don't always have someplace clean to do that or someone to hold it while you fiddle around inside it. i also like a long enough strap to put across my chest rather than on my shoulder since it seems to me the weight is better distributed that way. but they are such an individual thing, i think you really have to at least try out the different style, ie sling, backpack, messenger to see what you are the most comfortable with.
i think i may sometime in the near future purchase a holster type with a shoulder strap. that is my next trial (and hopefully my last)
if you have a lot of camera stuff i got a canon backpack on amazon i use to keep my stuff coralled for $40 but it's to heavy fully loaded for me to carry around for very long. it holds a bunch, body 2 large ( ie 4-6 "long lenses, 4-5 smaller lenses, all kinds of filters, cards, cleaning stuff a flashlight. it is imo a true bargain, just to heavy once i load up all the nooks and crannies ;) http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Deluxe-Backpack-200EG-Cameras/dp/B00009R6TA

I am going to Disney this August and looking for a nice messenger style camera bag that doesn't look like a camera bag and is able to fit on the rides with me(especially mission space which has a limited amount of room). I need it to be able to fit the following gear:

Canon 30D
Battery Grip
50mm f/1.4 Lens
28-135 IS Lens
4 Filters
2 Memory Cards
iPod(for backing up my photo's)
Air Duster(not required though)

So far I have been looking at the Crumpler 6 Million Dollar Home which seems to fit but I am not sure how well it would fit on the rides. Does anyone have any experience with this bag or another that fits my requirements? I appreciate all of the help.

I use the 5 million home and it fits very easily on the rides. I'm pretty sure you'd be fine with the 6 million.

i have both a 7 million dollar home (canon 1 series body and lenses) and a 5 million dollar home (2 rangefinder bodies and lenses). you won't have any issues with the 6, except maybe on Kali

I live on the poor side of town, with only a $4 Million home. ;) It barely fits a Canon 30D with lens, but I only use it that way while traveling.
Once I get to my destination I never put the camera away, so I keep a lens or two in the bag while in the parks.

I really like the loops on the sides of the "homes", great for attaching all kinds of accessories.

I'm hoping to get the $5 million home for my birthday in August so my fingers are crossed!

I love my 5 million dollar home, but it does fill up quick. You should be fine with the $6 million.

And I agree, the names totally crack me up!

The website is a bit over the top isn't it? Skeet kitten shooting? What's up with that?

Everything with Crumpler defiantly seems over the top but their bags are very well built and look like a regular bag or backpack instead of a camera bag which is a huge advantage. I appreciate everyone's input, and help, now its off to order my bag.
