What do people do when you want to take one of those larger type point and shoot cameras that don't fit in pockets.
The size like of the cameras that u replace the lens but mine is not a replace lens type just point and shoot it's just that kinda size for xample.
It has to be carried in case it neck strap kinda thing. If I wanna take pics I'll need to bring it to the parks but when I go on a ride ? In the past we always had a small pocket camera so no problem
Thanks

You can actually have it out on most rides (Just be sure to know how to turn off the flash). Just be sure to have a secure strap.

Some carry a backpack or other sort of bag and stow it during rides.

In the past, we had a backpack or carried it around the neck, depending on what we wanted to do. We do have a SLR camera, so it is bulky and is better to have a backpack for it. Lately, though, we've been doing Memory Maker and using a pocket Nikon for candids. Way easier.

My DSLR is out all the time!! You never know when a great photo op will come up.

I brought my dslr camera on our last trip and wore it around my neck most of the time, but I also had a backpack for other stuff so I'd store it there when I didn't want it out for a ride or sitting down at a meal. If you aren't planning to carry around a backpack or anything I'd suggest at least getting a small camera bag if you wanted to be able to put it away somewhere.

I usually leave the DSLR around the neck unless it's going to be a particularly rough or wet ride. Then I have a Ziploc bag I put it in and put it in my crossbody bag until the ride is over. I don't generally take more than the lens that is on the camera, so I don't have a lot of gear to deal with.

Ditto to this.

the only thing I would add is to consider some rides are safer to have it out for 99% of it. There might be 1 spot where it could get wet or rough and you might want to stash the camera quickly to protect is and then pull it back out right after. pirates and btmrr are good examples of this.

We have a camera bag for ours w/extra lens that one of us carries. We keep it in there to stay protected while on rides. We either keep the bag strapped to us or put on the floor/between legs, etc. depending on space on ride. We of course keep it out on Safari!
