Camera and high end headphone retailers Orlando

Hi, I need a bit of local knowledge from you Orlando residents about where I can find retailers of SLR Cameras and Headphones in the Orlando area.

My boys and I save all our birthday and christmas money and then spend on vacation.

We are looking for Shure, Ultimate ears, Ultrasone, Beyerdynamic headphone outlets

We are looking for Olympus, Pentax, Canon camera outlets.

Any local advice would be greatly appreciated on who has good service and a good range of products. I guess we could drive as far as Winter Park or similar from WDW

I use a Canon camera and tend to go to Ritz Cameras in Florida Mall www.ritzcamera.com you can get a modest selection at BestBuy just down the 441 Orange Blossom Trail from the Mall www.bestbuy.com
Dont go to any on the US192 or International Drive poor service and well dodgy quotes. They start at stupid money and drop down till you bite i was in one on the 192 and a fellow Brit wanted a Sony camera and the guy got one out and showed him, when he went to pay for it i spotted the sales guys friend changing bags i warned the Brit before he handed his card over and the guy was putting a model of camera in that i never heard of but it said on the box that it was simular to the Sony model he wanted...

I got a Bose set of headphones i can use on the plane and ipod from Orlando Premium Outlets just by the Lake Buena Vista and Interstate 4 junction ...should it help but respectfully not aware of outlets for the ones you mentiond

My eldest bought his Olympus there last year and the service was top notch.

My husband bought his Shure headphones at the Apple store in the Millenia Mall a couple of years ago. They also carry a wide range of Bose headphones.

Circuit City has a wide range of cameras and there is one located across the street from Millenia Mall. They would also carry headphones, but I'm not sure which brands. I'm quite certain I saw Bose there.

No matter what people say Bose is not the best.

Apple stores do sell Shure headphones. The other brands (which are great choices BTW) you may have to look for an independent music/audio store.

I'm not sure if a Bang & Olufsen is what you are looking for. If B & O has only "their" brand or others is something you need to check. If the Millenia Mall has a B & O is another story.

You MIGHT find Shure's at Best Buy or Circuit City.. you will not find the other brands.

Have you checked crutchfield.com?

If anyone else can help out with specific independant hifi stores, go right ahead.

One store I can make a claim for if anyone needs some instruments is the superb Georges Music just opposite Wet and Wild on I-Drive. He has a top selection of guitars, drums etc and everything a wannabe rock star could wish for (cept talent). He does keep headphones but limits himself to the high impedance studio versions and more basic practice versions as opposed to hifi. This store is a kind of pilgrimage for son#2 who wants to be the next Billy Joe Armstrong.

The B&O store at Millenia Mall closed a few years ago. When they were there, they also sold Shure headphones.

Shame. I knew I saw the store there at one time. I didn't know it closed.

There is a BestBuy/Magnolia at WinterGarden Village at SR535/SR429 Not sure if they carry the brands you are looking for. We used Magnolia for our HomeTheater and was pleased with their salestaff.

BestBuy also carries Olympus,Canon,Nikon etc. Don't know how their staff is in the camera section. The BB salestaff does not work on commission but they really try to "add it on" in the form of service plans and cables.

If your son is a musician, then you'll want to visit a Guitar Center or Sam Ash music store. The Guitar Center in Winter Park is better than the one on Orange Blossom Trail. I can't remember the locations of the Sam Ash stores right now. Both of these have great selections of musical instruments and accessories.

Both have websites if you want to browse and get an idea of what they offer.
