Camelot vs. HOJO

So, I booked for HOJOs. Had to get 2 rooms (hopefully adjoining) for our family of 5 and my mother. Now, I'm thinking of changing to a Camelot Suite.
We only got one night of ET rate at HOJO so the price is about the same. The only pro at this point of HOJO is the pool. Camelot is closer and has the breakfast. I know the breakfast isn't much but we eat cereal every day. I'm just nervous to leave HOJO because of all the love it gets here...is Camelot a good alternative?

Oh, and please don't recommend an alternate hotel from the 2 mentioned...my head might explode!!:)

We like Hojo. We bring our own cereal and milk. The walk isn't bad. The kids love the water play area. Parking is plentiful. The rooms are a nice size and clean. There's a chance the Hojo rates may continue to drop. Check regularly.

I've stayed at Camelot and found it just fine. the only question would be: how much do you intend to use the pool at Hojo's? The walk to Camelot is better than Hojo's for sure. I would stay there again, I always end up at Hojo's because I find the best rate for Hojo's.

Stayed at Camelot two times. Everytime we arrived after a long day at the park, I was happy I wasn't walking further to HoJo.

I have also stayed at Camelot twice. As a hotel, it's "adequate", in other words, it wasn't a dump, but wasn't great, however the location is amazing. If you go into it expecting that it's a lackluster hotel with a great location, you'll do just fine. I've read the countless reviews for HOJO's on here, and will say that Camelot doesn't even compare. If you choose Camelot, it really is, in my opinion, for location alone.

If the price is about the same, I would stay at the HOJO. We also thought about changing to another, but my daughter loves the HOJO so much (and so do I).

I haven't stayed at the camelot, but I can tell you the HOJO walk is not bad at all. And we just have cereal in the roomin the mornings, which she likes because she can just take it slow. She's not a morning person, so that's perfect.

Also, the Castaway Cove is GREAT for the kids, and the pool is wonderful, too. In the end, though, it's just whatever you're more comfortable doing.

I've never stayed at the HOJO, so I can't comment there, but we are loyal Camelot repeaters. We stay in the family suite, request a room near the pool, and absolutely love it! Location is fabulous - close to lots of restaraunts (we did lots of take-out this trip - kids were tired and cranky, and we didn't have to worry about them misbehaving in a restaraunt - we'd just bring food back to the room and eat at the dining table), close walk to the parks, huge rooms with tons of space. Yeah, things are looking a bit shabby, but everything was clean, service was excellent (stopped up toilet was fixed in less than 5 mins) and we were happy. Pics of the rooms can be found in my TR (link at bottom).
The breakfast isn't much to write home about - generic cereal, milk, coffee, juice, hot chocolate, sweet rolls, croissants and donuts, apples and oranges. We'd have a light breakfast, then eat lunch early in the parks (around 11 - before everything got busy with the lunchtime rush) We also found it nice to take breafast back up to the room - the kids ate better if they could graze a bit while getting ready, and I wasn't so rushed making sure we were all packed up before going down for breakfast. The walk back was easily doable for naps each day (not sure the age of your kids, but ours sure needed a break most days!!).
The pool isn't anything special, but it's wet, and that's all my kids really seemed to want anyway! DD spent almost all her time in the little hot tub (it wasn't real warm on our trip). We watched the fireworks from our window or out on the walkway outside the room...way nicer and more comfy than staking out a spot on the ground in the park for 3 hours!

Good luck with your decision - either way, you're going to have a fantastic time!
