Camelot Inn (formerly Park Inn International)
1520 S Harbor Blvd
714-635-7275
Our party consisted of 3 adults and 1 child (11 yrs). We stayed 3 nights.
We booked a Deluxe Family Suite which was advertised as being 2 rooms, 3 beds, a pull out sofa, mini bar, fridge, microwave, iron, desk, and games.
The room was booked online and an AARP discount was selected. The rate was $169 per night. I immediately received a confirmation via email and all details were correct. Five days prior to arrive, I received another email just as a reminder of our upcoming arrival. I thought this was a very nice touch. Also received an email after we got home thanking us for our stay.
On the day we were to arrive we got a late start, so we called the hotel to let them know we would be arriving late. They had no problems and said they would hold our room. We didnt even need to dig out the confirmation number, they had all our information right there in front of them.
Upon arriving shortly after 11pm, we were greeted by very friendly front desk staff. Check in was less than 5 minutes.
We were given a room on the 5th floor (top floor). Our was 2nd room off the elevator so that made for easy access. There were plenty of luggage carts for use so we loaded up and headed to the room. All halls are exterior.
Before anyone was allowed to do anything, I checked around for cleanliness of the carpet, beds (no bed bugs, we checked!), bathroom, etc. and it all checked out fine.
The first room had a pullout sofa, a king bed, dinning table and 4 chairs, wetbar (sink, mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot), entertainment center with a 25inch TV, 4 dresser drawers underneath, a desk, mirror, and armoire.
The second room had 2 queen beds, a sitting area with a chair and nightstand type table, entertainment center with a 25inch TV, 4 dresser drawers underneath, a desk, mirror, and armoire. The bathroom was also in this room. There was a large mirror, sink, luggage rack and the toilet and tub/shower were in a separate room.
The rooms were large and there was plenty of space. I would have preferred possibly having the bathroom somehow connecting the 2 or in between, or even a bathroom in each room. But we made do.
My son used the pool one afternoon. Its on the 4th floor. Towels are provided at the pool. There is also a hot tub. The pool was not huge, but weve seen smaller hotel pools, so it was fine.
The entrance to mostly all rooms are on the north side and you can see Disneyland from the walkways. You overlook Space Mountain and the Matterhorn. You can watch the fireworks from the balconies.
I was pleased with the breakfast. Its not much, but Ive had worse just a few doors down from this hotel. So it was fine to me. There were muffins, Danish, apples, instant oatmeal, cold cereal and milk, coffee, hot chocolate, and juice. Plenty of choices to get you going in the morning.
The walk to the park took about 10 minutes and thats with 2 slow elderly walkers.
Each day the room was cleaned and restocked (soap, coffee, etc).
Any interaction we had with the staff was always pleasant. Parking was not a problem, there seemed to be plenty of spaces. Overall we were very happy with our stay here.
