During our recent trip on DCL, I dropped our Sony camcorder into the ocean water but retrieved it after about 3 seconds.
I was standing in water about 1 foot deep near the shore with dd while trying to tape the rest of the family when clumsy me drops it. The dvd only had 1 minute left on it before I was done taping.
It has been a few weeks and we thought it would dry out and work, but it hasn't. We can't even get it to open so that we can get out the mini dvd that has about 29 minutes of our vacation on it.
Anyone have any suggestions.
My dh isn't too concerned because he wants to buy a new one, but I, however, much prefer we get this one to work since it isn't that old.
Any suggestions??????

So we though perhaps by the camcorder drying out that it would work, but no luck. So now we are trying to decide what to do about the camcorder. If we decide just to get a new one, we'll probably just pry it open to get the DVD out.
