Camcorder or Not

Wondering about whether or not to take our camcorder into the parks. Honestly, I think the other times I've taken it, I rarely used it. But I'm always afraid of not taking it and then having something wonderful happen and end up missing it because I don't have the camcorder. I guess I should be added to the list of absessive compulsive.

I always take my camcorder and over the last 2 of our 4 trips I have found that I rarely use it. But I still take if on the chance that something will happen with our DS7 and I want to be ready. If you have children I would take the camcorder with you, especially if it is small.

I lugged my video camera around three out of four of our trips. And rarely used it...I also feel like I'm missing out on stuff when I'm stuck behind it videoing. What I did this time worked great, if you have a digital camera that has video capabilites that works great!! I video'd the entire fireworks display of Hallowishes...

good luck!

I got a larger video card for my digital camera and I plan on taking a lot of movies with that. I can take up to an hour and a half with that card so I will just dump the video onto my laptop at night. I will pack my camcorder but I only plan on bringing it a few days because I don't want to lug it around.

How big is your card? This is what we are thinking of doing instead of bringing the camcorder. We already have one big card but we are thinking about getting another so we can take pictures as well as video if we are wanting to

the newer video cameras are so small, we just bought a mini dv and it is as small as my regular camera. i love it.........now if it were the old vhs-c i was lugging around id say leave it at home. but the newer ones r so small u can fit them in a fannypack

My husband brings his to parks and lugs it around for about 1/2 a day. After he videos everything he wants, he puts it in a locker. He'll bring it for things like characters meals and tape a few scenes of the kids, then it gets locked up. It's too bulky to carry around all the time.

Always have ours with us we just got a new HD 1080i camcorder so I am all excited to try it out at Disney and it will make our HDTV look awesome for family video nights when we watch our Disney trip movies.

I saw these one time use digital camcorders at CVS, I think they're $20 or $30 for 20 minutes of recording time and that includes a DVD when you are done with it. The best part is that it's small and lightweight. I'm thinking of buying that for this trip!

That sounds interesting as I have never heard of these but they would be nice to to have

DW and I are thinking about buying a camcorder...not quite sure which one though or what type of media. I'll have to do some research. I don't like the feeling that I'm missing something either but with the amount of still photos I take I bet I miss more with the camera!
