I am looking to buy a new camcorder. I'd appreciate any comments and guidance about brands, models, pros and cons of recording tpes (mini dvd or memory). My old camcorder is quite old and I am looking to update now so that I can have some good videos of an upcoming wedding.

What are you looking for? A lot of people like the convenience of DVD; however, most review sites claim that Mini tapes give better quality recording.

I think the first and biggest decision you need to make is whether to go high def or not.
