Cam & Howard's Vow Renewal PJ -1/12/09 - WP&WH--p.98: TRIP REPORT BEGINS

Thank you so much for the good wishes, Laura and Meg and Lisa.

Lisa -- I hope my events are half as successful as yours and that I look even a tenth as gorgeous as you did. I am so excited! :yay:

Oh, please, lady! Your beauty will be glowing from the inside out! :goodvibes and you have good reason to be excited! Just don't do what I did and have a caffeinated drink at your welcome party (if you're sensitive, that is) I did not sleep a wink the night before our vow renewal :scared1: (maybe thirty minutes)

Good point, Lisa. I am a total caffeine freak, but I am going to be sure NOT to drink any at our dessert party Sunday night so that I can sleep (for the approximately 4 hours that I may be in bed!) LOL!

Jenn (DD20) helped me SOOOO much yesterday and we finished the programs. They were a lot of work. Patty helped me to format and print them and cut most of the ribbons. Howard went and bought the scorer for my paper cutter. After I scored them, Jenn folded them and marked where the holes had to be punched for the ribbons. I hole punched and Jenn threaded the ribbons, which I tied in bows. She even went and bought more ribbon for me since I didn't like the thinner ribbon I'd have had to use for the last 5 or 6. She also helped me add the crystal to the front cover. They are so cute!

Next, I cut the menus (they still need to be embellished).

I also made 2 door hangers -- one says "Do Not Disturb Bride-to-be Sleeping" and the other says "Do Not Disturb We are on our Honeymoon" and Jenn decorated them with stickers I bought. It was so much fun to spend the time with her and she said it made her feel really good to be helping and to know Howard and I would have those special things she'd made/helped with even once she'd gone home. What a sweetie! :cutie: She's adorable, saying "Yeah, I'm the MoH" (pronounced "mo").

I'll post pix later.

Cam, everything sounds beautiful!Looking forward to seeing everything! It sounds like you and Jenn had a very productive weekend and special time:goodvibes take care and enjoy these next days as I am sure they will be glorious!

Cam, it's taken me two days to get through your report and it is so precious! I'll miss the cute comments between you and Howard when the PJ is over ;) Can't wait to see how it all comes together. Looking forward to lots of pictures!!! :goodvibes

Not long to go now - I'm sure it will be fabulous !!

Linz xxx :)

So, here is the dress I am dying to try on:

And here is the second on my list of dresses I can't wait to try:
2808.jpg

I think the bottom on the first one looks like a dream. It reminds me of the ocean for some reason (which I love!) and it looks like it would be light and airy to manage. I just can't believe that I found two gowns by the same designer that have the gorgeous sweetheart or portrait neckline and really pretty sleeves. I'd even be willing to break my "no train" guideline to wear the first one. I hope, I hope, I hope it is that beautiful in person and that it looks nice on me.

Who is the designer for this dress? Beautiful.

Thanks for reading, everyone! Working on knocking the last few items off my to-do list.

honey2741 -- they are both Demetrios

YAY! Programs and menus are done! All I have to do now are some thank you notes and wrap a couple of gifts. Then, pack!

Wow, you guys are so close. I am sure you both are getting so excited. I have really enjoyed reading along with all your plans. Best of luck in Disney and have a wonderful time. You are so ready for everything. This sounds like the best planned VR. You guys have thought of everything.

Sheldon's son is in Orlando now visiting with Sheldon's dad. He will be down there for 2 weeks. I wish we were with him so we could take of sneak peek of all your celebrations.

Linda

You've done a wonderful job, and made many efforts to create beautiful and personal items for your wedding....

Don't forget to relax a little, sit back and observe what's going on around you. You want these memories to stay with you forever, if you're not careful, they may just zoom right by... :lovestruc

Okay, here are pix:

And this is the beautiful gift my DSIL and DBIL sent us that arrived yesterday. I've seen it and wanted it but never breathed a word to anyone, even Howard. When I opened it, I started crying. It was such a sweet, thoughtful thing for my DSIL to do and she wrote us the absolute most beautiful card, celebrating our love for each other and looking forward to us all celebrating mine & Howard's 50th anniversary together some day.

Hi Cam! I was just catching up on your journal and I love everything you have done!! Can you believe that in just a couple of days we will all be back at WDW!! Your VR is going to be beautiful!!! I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.

I love looking at everything you have done over the past several months, it has given me a lot of great ideas for my own wedding!

See you next week at the races!

Cam - everything looks beautiful
I will be thinking of you on the 12th, may it be all you have dreamed of and more.

Thank you, Tracey!! I really appreciate your "visit" to my journal! I know I've been a terrible WISH journal friend, but fully intend to get back on board when I return from our "honeymoon." Of course, if I'd been posting all along, I might not be in a panic right now about whether my dessert party dress and my wedding gown will be so tight that I'll pull an Elizabeth Swann and faint on someone for lack of oxygen. :lmao: Looking forward to getting back in touch!

All of your projects turned out so great! I especially love the door hangers and the sparkly paper for the programs and menus.

I can't believe you're so close! I hope you have a wonderful time.

What a great gift from your in-laws; so sweet :goodvibes

Thank you so much, Kendra and Vanessa! I have had so much fun working on all of these projects and it is ONLY because of other wonderful Disney brides that I had the inspiration and courage to do any of these projects myself. The ironic thing is that now that we are at a point in our lives where we could have hired someone to coordinate all of this and could have bought invitations, menus, programs, etc. I had the leisure and luxury and PRIVILEGE of making everything for my guests. And so many friends have helped along the way, from those who shared ideas and templates and gave me names of vendors and resources to those who gave me their time and energy, not only to help me formulate and execute, but to make it so darn much fun!!! :grouphug:

So, this is a huge shout-out to everyone who inspired and helped me! :lovestruc :cloud9:
