Cam & Howard's Vow Renewal PJ -1/12/09 - WP&WH--p.98: TRIP REPORT BEGINS

Found out today that we've been assigned a planner! It's Meri and I am really excited that we'll meet her in exactly 4 weeks from today. I've been in touch with her assistant, Alix, for a while as we dealt with contract and website details. Alix has been an absolute darling so incredibly responsive and helpful. I also heard that our contract has been sent back to us, so hopefully it will arrive in the next several days. Now it is all beginning to feel very real! (couldn't find a groom! LOL!)

Amanda, sweetie, NOTHING could have made me feel as great about this as your post. Your wedding was absolutely exquisite. I know we are in good hands if Meri helped you and your wonderful family make that fairytale event come to life.

Thank you for all the good thoughts, everyone! Howard and I will be busy this weekend with his graduation events and then we'll buckle down to Special Olympics Summer Games the second week/weekend in June and then I'll have to really start checking all my lists, printing pix, etc. for our planning session June 26. Very, very exciting!

A cricut question for you: Do you have the smaller one or the bigger one? I was in target looking at them and we were in a hurry so I didn't end up getting one because I didn't know the difference between the two. Thanks!

A cricut question for you: Do you have the smaller one or the bigger one? I was in target looking at them and we were in a hurry so I didn't end up getting one because I didn't know the difference between the two. Thanks!

I got the smaller one. I think they call it the portable or personal version -- there are two, you're right. My understanding of the difference is that the smaller one is limited to 6" wide and IIRC, 12" long cuts. Since we are using it strictly for items within those sizes there was no reason for us to buy the more expensive/larger version. I can't tell you how easy it is to use. Patty and I figured it all out (over coffee and muffins) and played with it and cut out a lot of samples in just a couple of hours. After I bought supplies, I designed and cut all 20 welcome bag tags in about 1/2 hour (including cutting the 8.5 x 11 paper into 6"x11" and setting up the machine to do 2 tags on each piece. It was so much fun!

Okay, I don't think I can stand it! The wonderful news keeps rolling in!! Our signed contract has arrived!!! Howard texted me that it came today while he was cutting the lawn. Joe told me yesterday that it had been mailed Tuesday and it would have to be signed for. What an exciting day!!

Tonight is the departmental cocktail party graduation celebration for Howard's MBA program and tomorrow is his graduation. I am so proud of him!!!
