Oh my goodness, two months!!!! (and a day), lol. Are you freaking out honey? I hope not because everything will be perfect!!!

Cam , I am so glad your dress fitting went well! Looking forward to hearing more!:goodvibes

Thank you, Tammy! I am so excited about wearing the dress for Howard. It makes me feel like the princess that he treats me like. princess:

Thanks, sweetie! I have been so swamped with this trial that I've not had time to post much. I have pix of so many projects including our nearly completed (and sweetly beautiful) invitations. I am hoping to finish up and post them tonight. :yay:

Well, I was doing FINE, until you said that!!! :lmao: No, actually, I feel like time is now moving in fast forward. It's more than surprising to find ourselves 2 months away from the big day, but I am enjoying every single minute that I have to think about it or to work on projects. :cloud9:

I’ve gotten a bunch more projects done over the past couple weeks, including the courtesy baskets for the restrooms:

Most importantly, since I was tied to my computer last night monitoring email (I'm in the middle of a 2-week trial), our invitations are done and going to the post office this morning!

I love your stationary, where are they from?

Caroline, the pieces are from cardsandpockets.com, the clear swarovski crystals are from m&jtrim and all the other supplies (heart charms, silver thread, pink crystals) are from Michael's. I made all of it myself, including cutting the mickey head on my cricut cutting machine. :goodvibes

Cam, Everything looks great! I love the wedding ears and veil and your invites- very nice!! Well done! You must be getting so excited to see everything coming together( I am just excited about planning timelines that look like they will come together...:) ) It will be wonderful! You have done so much planning and work!:goodvibes

Cam, once again, you've done an amazing job! After all the other thoughtful things you've done for your guests, you did the bathroom baskets too?! They're beautiful!

And I love, love, LOVE your invitations! I love how you incorporated the past with the future (mentioning your previous wedding and the picture of you and Howard). They're very elegant, beautiful, and sweet.

You made them yourself? Wow, you should go into business, they look amazing! I will not be attempting to make my own stuff as I'm a little creatively challenged

Thank you so much, Tammy! I am LOVING every minute of the planning, and I have so few major projects on my to-do list (the one that was 13 pages long!), so I feel like it is all very manageable, even with the holidays coming.

Thank you so much, Jennifer. Coming from someone who had an absolutely GORGEOUS wedding, your praise is very dear to me. I love that all the projects I wanted to do for our guests are now done. I have only to wrap thank you gifts and write those notes and I'll feel like I can just focus on writing our ceremony. Thank you for the compliments on our invitations. I really do feel like relationships have personalities and Howard's and mine has always been one of sweetness and of cherishing each other and I wanted our invitations to reflect that. We are also very down to earth and laid-back so I wanted the invitation not to be stuffy or formal. I think our guests, who know and love us to the point of spoiling us rotten, will think the invitations are exactly what they'd expect from us. :cloud9:

I esp. love the basket.
trudy <><

Thank you, Trudy! I got the idea of doing baskets from another DISBride and then ran with it, brainstorming ideas for what to put in them, and getting advice here. I hope SOMETHING in them actually gets used. If nothing else, our guests will get the message that we wanted to tend to their needs and wanted them to be comfortable and happy.

You made them yourself? Wow, you should go into business, they look amazing! I will not be attempting to make my own stuff as I'm a little creatively challenged

Caroline -- I am NOT creative or talented at all. What you are seeing is the result of many failed ideas and efforts, when each piece finally came together the way I hoped. The ideas for using the pocket portfolio and the sources for the components and the swarovski crystals came from other DISBrides who were very generous with their advice and information. It has been so much fun to gather in all of those ideas and to cull from them the ones that fit our theme and our intentions.

I realize the pix of the invitations aren't clear, so I wanted to share the text. First of all, our theme is "All of Our Wishes Have Come True" and we have used stars and intertwining hearts as our "symbols", I guess you'd call them.

The wording on the main invitation part is:

In a magical place,
where wishes are granted and dreams come true,

We, Cam & Howard,
will renew the vows we made to each other

wow Cam you have gone to so much trouble making your VR so special i'm sure everyone will appreciate all the work you have put in :)
Not long now :)

Thank you, Tracey! I can't believe how quickly time is flying and Thanksgiving is next week. I have been swamped being in the middle of a 2-week trial and am trying to carve out time to train for the 1/2 marathon. But things are really coming together. I got a lot more projects done this weekend, including the label for our memorial candle, tip envelopes, drafting the program, and creating email distribution lists for our guests.

Thank you so much, everyone, for all of your support and encouragement! :grouphug: :cloud9:

Hi, I just wanted to give everyone an update. Our home computer decided on Monday morning that it wanted to give up the ghost. So, our home system is out of commission. We have a IT company that Cam uses for work trying to recover files from our hard drive. It is going slow as you might expect. Cam and I are a bit freaked out about all of the VR files, invites, photos, financial information, etc. that are on the computer.

This is certainly causing some issues with the timing of finishing things up for the VR. I am sure Cam will come back on soon with an update. In the mean time, we'll continue with the regularly scheduled program.:happytv:

Howard

Thanks, everyone! Right now, I am thanking God that all but 3 of the invitations had already gone out, since I can't print the envelopes I'd be in trouble. I am SOOOO glad this didn't happen after I'd created all the components and before I'd printed all of them.

Right now, I am coping with the "loss" of the programs, menus, welcome letters, donation announcements, and RSVP matrices for all of our events that weekend. Oh, and all the ipod playlists, for the rehearsal, dessert party and my personal playlist for when I am getting ready, and the honeymoon playlist. UGH! I am freaking myself out again. ;)

We could use all the prayers and pixie dust anyone is willing to share that my IT firm friends can recover files and make them accessible. Losing a week of progress at this point is horrible, but not devastating. I really do thank God that the invitations were already done.

Good luck Cam! I really do hope the IT guys can recover your files!! :grouphug:
