I booked a Category 9 for the Dec 19, 2004 cruise (our first). Thanks for the suggestions on rooms. I got 2118 and it looks like a great location but then I was reading my Passporter and it was listed as a room to avoid for noise and vibration. Can anyone reassure me? Dh hates noisy rooms and I really want him to enjoy our first cruise.
Thanks.
Denise

Unfortunately, according to Dave's website, www.dcltribute.com, that room is listed on the noisy room list.....Andy

I'm going by alexandrew's recommendation about cabin 2118. I like the location b/c it is near the aft elevators. I can sleep through anything, so noise would not be a problem with me. I guess I will find out for myself next August.

Thanks for the responses. Bumping this up to see if alexandrew has stayed in this room.

You could try emailing Dave from dcltribute.com He might be able to elaborate on what is meant by "noisy." I have read posts by other people, who have stayed in rooms on the "noisy" list, that they didn't have any problems. If your DH is extra noise-sensitive, perhaps you could try a white noise machine, or leaving the stateroom tv on something inoffensive.

Good luck and have a great cruise!
