Were planning a tipr to WDW May 16th thru May 26th. Have any of you found flown from Allegient? (sp) Airlines in IL? If so, what were your experiences. TIA

Sorry...haven't tried them. If you're looking for a cheaper fare, you might look at the MidAmerica airport on the Illinois side...I've seen good rates for them as I'm driving up I64...also I've seen some decent SW Ding fares for STL.

We live down by Carbondale, IL, so STL is our closest major airport, but it's only 3 1/2 hrs. to Nashville, TN for us and the SW fares and Ding were better our last trip...$35 to and $84 back from MCO. I also search at Indianapolis, not so good for you though...not sure how it is for you to get to Bloomington IL...4 hrs. for me, but AirTrans flies out of there and has some decent fares usually.

Last June 1 I got a good price out of STL to MCO on USAirways...$150/person...found it on the American Airlines site...check the "All carriers" box when you do the search.

Hope this helps...even though it didn't answer your question...

We haven't flown Allegiant - but did consider it while planning for our WDW trip in March. The reasons we decided not to are: A) it goes to the Orlando/Sanford airport, which isn't bad in general, but you can't use Magical Express then, or if you rent a car, you have to add in extra driving time. B) The rates ended up being more than flying American from Lambert. C) Since Mid-America has had airlines come and go so quickly, we wanted to make sure that our flight was going to happen for sure. D) Hubby's company wouldn't allow him to fly Allegiant - it had to be one of the major airlines leaving Lambert in order to be paid by the company for the conference he is attending in Orlando (while the rest of us are at the parks). Since it would be the first time our kids fly, I didn't want to have them on the flight alone, so we are all flying American.
With that said, I wouldn't mind trying them out next time if the fares are more competitive and we had a little more flexibility.
Sorry I couldn't help more!

we were excited to get this in Peoria but it only lasted a couple months and now they have non stop to vegas only. so we drive to Bloomington.....would have been nice. I'd give them a try if the price is right. good luck! :flower:

I am in the St. Louis area and hoping to go in May also. I am holding out in the hopes that SWA will release some good fares. I usually go for $59 each way. I have never flown Alegient, sorry :)

I agree...I'm hoping again for a cheaper flight from SWA. I was able to snag a $59 Sept 2004. I'm hoping again!
