Has anyone called reservations this past week? Every time we try we are on hold forever - an hour. We've been calling several times a week since the beginning of October because we want to add another room to our reservation over Christmas and are hoping for a cancellation. Until this week, we'd never been on hold more than a few minutes. Does anyone know what has happened?

Thank you,

Patti

My guess (and that's all it is) would be that "holiday season" is upon us. Just based on what I'm reading on the DIS, it seems lots of people are looking for cancellations and trying to book last minute trips. Plus there's the new promo 4/3 deal that has to be booked by 12/20, free dining and other discounts into Jan/Feb...

I was on hold with Disney Dining for almost 40 minutes this week <eek> :scared1:

Try calling first thing in the morning when CRO (Central Reservation Office) opens. They open at 7AM, so if you call then, you'll have a minimal wait.

I called Saturday around 4 p.m. Central and I had virtually no wait at all. The person was bright and cheery too! It was great.:cool1:

Hi-- we called twice-- this am about 8am and got right through. Also called last night the disney resort # and they transfered us and we got right to ADV. Maybe if you get "transfered" you don't have to wait so long. Good luck. M

It must be because of the 4/3 special going on.:surfweb:

Be sure to get the persons name that you speak with. Also, write down the time and the day you call..that way, if something should go amiss you will have the info handy:)

I've called Disney Dining twice this week. Both times I used the following:

When the systems puts you through the prompts ie: Do you want Reservations? Do you speak English?, etc., I always push #0# and get put straight through to a live person. I learned this technique about 20 years ago while working as a telemarketer. Works with any telephone system with prompts.

Awesome tip, thank you. :woohoo:
I get so frustrated going through all those prompts.
