It could be of a quiet pool or of the river. We always request a river view. Due to the fact that there are no private balconies at POR, alot of people won't pay extra for a water view, but I like to, simply because it means I'm guaranteed not to have a parking lot view. I request a top floor, corner room with a river view, so I get 2 windows. Sometimes the river view is a bit obstructed by trees, but I still like walking out my door and seeing the river first thing in the morning. I think the AB section has better river views than the mansions, but that's just my opinion from previous stays (10 + at POR). Hope this helps.
