How many of you out there are also alumni? I participated in my first program Spring 2012/Summer extension. My role was Custodial, location was Epcot Future World. I loved my role, my roommate, and all of the fun I had on my program! If anyone has any questions, please let me know!

Me. I did the CP 6 times (in 5 different roles)

I did my cp fall 2011, attractions Adlib pirates of the Caribbean. It was the best!

I then did the traditions pi for a year and stayed full time with Disney. I miss that pirate ride so much! :)

I don't know anything about an Alumni weekend event ... although, given that I still work for the company, I'm sure I'll be in the WDW area in October.

Same here, for both

Disney has rolled out a brand new Alumni Association for the program. You register here on www.dcpalumni dot com, then they approve your registration and send you a link to a Facebook group. The event is October 24-26 and includes a pep rally, a homecoming dance, a Voluntear event, and behind the scenes stuff!

I am a 2 time alumni! Spring 2012 in Disneyland and Fall 2013 in Walt Disney World.

Have any of you guys done programs at both resorts? Which did you list when you signed up for the alumni association?

Can anyone help a parent. My daughter was accepted for Spring 2015. She checks in 1-26-14. I know that we will be taking her to Orlando on at least the 25th. The 26th she will check in early I am assuming. As a parent, I wonder what I will do while she checks in. I understand that there is a parent event then that is designed to give us more info on what our college kid will be doing. I am sure that I will go to that if offered. But, after initial check in she goes to casting...right. Then what. Here is what I am after I know I will be down there at least on the 25th. I will be there for her check in day and stay the night. I was assuming that she would need to go get things for the apartment (things for the fridge and such) and I would be there to help her with that. I am thinking that I will just head him on the 27th. I guess I am asking from a students point of view...what could you use or have used the check in day and the day after from a parent who was available?

My mom stayed until two days after check in. I did not have my car, so the day after she took me to Walmart and then we spent our last day together in the park (Epcot) doing fun things as mother/daughter. The day of, she helped me move in after casting and before the housing meeting, then we finished move in after the housing meeting.

Thanks Keypooh. My daughter has been accepted as QSFB as well. I figured on going down 1-25 the day before her check in and then staying the 26th and 27th until she is settled in and does not need anything in the way of running around doing errands and such. I believe that this will work.

Another alumni here. Did FA 2010 then extended to Spring 2011. I would really, really, really love to do another program again. Just one more! But I just don't see it in the cards right now. My job is good. I don't see myself leaving it anytime in the near future.

Yeah no one can compete with Joanna!!!

Hahahaha...so true! I have two under my belt. Spring Advantage 2005 (yeah...2005!) as a Front Desk Host at the Grand, then the Summer Alumni Program in 2006 in Entertainment. I then worked seasonal until 2008, and then FT 2008-2010.

Fall 2006 Entertainment. If I weren't married and a teacher, I'd consider going for another program since I'm completing my masters right now. Oh, real life...
