Hello Everyone,
I cannot believe it has been 17 pages since I last posted. I have been keeping up, just not posting.

Anyway, our documents arrived while we were out yesterday. Fortunately, there is almost always someone at our house even if we are not.

Jan: Thanks for sending me the info. BTW: I also picked up a ribbon curl cascade while shopping for a birthday card.

I have not watched the Magic leave from Key West but I have been watching the goings on at Port Canaveral.

We are all getting more and more excited. My friends at work are very jealous.

I'll try not to wait 17 pages before posting next time.

I purchased Sea-Bands, motion sickness pills and children's tylenol last night. Oh, & I also bought some ziplock bags (quart & gallon sizes) to pack things in... either little things that might need to be kept together or something that might leak. I'm getting ready!!

I wish my docs would come!

Im doubting it somehow cos most of them do it just to make me feel ill! Im so glad I never took textiles now... All my evil friends and pins-not a good mixture!

Rory - I'll bring some of my pictures from that day to show you. Wouldn't it be funny if you and your Mom were in one of them.
I've started my list of what to bring with us. I'll add that to it. Sorry to say but bugs won't be on list.

This week I bought shorts that were on the reduced rack at Walmart. They have a tropical print called "Island Getaway". Of course I thought of Castaway Cay when I saw that on the tag.
I also was looking to see if they had any bathing suits left. They did but only the bottom halves so I passed them up.

Still no MAGIC DOCS

We are driving down so do not know for sure what time we will arrive in the Port area. I have the map from Dave's site and the directions from the Manatee thread so I am ready if there is enough time. It will also depend on what time the THREAD GATHERING is to be held.
Are you thinking of going to see them GINGER?

Yes, I would like to see the Manatees. I think it would be educational for Ashley to see them in the wild. But, like you time is a factor.

I think I'm going to need a vacation from my vacation.

For those of us going to the world and staying on WDW property before or after the cruise did you hear????? Early entry is back.

I've got to stop shopping, I told DH I would pack lite. I'm not clothes shopping, it junk shopping. Stuff to hang in the room, on the door, to hand out, and goodies. Bad for my waist goodies.YUMMIES!!!!! My new project is to take off 10 more pounds so I can eat the YUMMIES.
Bill and I were reading the different foods being offered last year at the Wine and Food Fest at Epcot. We didn't do it last year but plan on going this year. Eating our way around the world may be fun. Anyone else going? Maybe we could do it as a group. We'll be going to Universal Studios on the 19th and MNSSHP on the 20th so we'll open for a WDW park day on the 21, 22, 23, 24. We only have 2 days left on our 5 day pass, but we have 3 day passes at US. So what I am getting at is anyone wanting to meet with us and eat your way around the world give me a shout. Maybe we can hook up.

Jan sorry you didnt get your DOCS yet. It must be hard to hear that everyone is getting theirs. I would be going out of my mind.

GINGER: We are going to MNNSHP on the 20th as well. Maybe we could meet up. I think we will be going to EPCOT that day, before the MK to do the food and wine festival. We have done it every year so far and love it!! So if you want to do it that day with us, let me know. If not that's okay too.

I cant believe it's less than 5 weeks now. I too need to stop shopping. Every weekend I see some article of clothing that I just have to have for the cruise I have gotten some great end of summer clearance sales11 I have also lost 11 pounds this summer, so I am pretty excited. I would love to lose 5 more before I start binging on the boat.

I know this has been asked 1,000 times, but let me ask again, how many children are going to be TorT. I bought all the stuff to make up my bags, but I need to know if I have enough.

My mother always brings a cane along with her, and she doesn't like me and my cus going of on our own except on the ship (you moms probably understand) NEway we have to (actualy, I shouldn't say have to, but we do like to) go to the handicap area so they usually let us on early.

The T or T count is now at 21. If anyone else would like to participate please post before October 1 so everyone can finalize their packing lists. I will post the list of precipitants that I currently have later today so everyone can verify that the information is correct.

Debby – After as few weeks of trying to get a Tux for DS on E-bay I finally used the Buy It Now option. Every time I tried to bid on a tux, someone else would start to bid against me and eventually the price would go above the Buy It Now price. I found this very interesting. Finally when there was only one 5 piece left, I just took it at the Buy It Now price. During the whole time I was trying to get the tux, the only ones that ever had bidding on them seemed to be the tuxedos in my son’s size that I placed a bid on at the reserve price. Got to admit both my DH and I though this was pretty suspicious. Anyway, the tux should be here in a few days. If your interested, PM or E-mail me and I’ll let you know who we bought it from and the condition it arrived in.

Jan – Got the sword already. DH is questioning if this will be a problem even packed in the luggage, as they X-ray everything. It is all plastic and very chunky, so hopefully DS will not hurt himself or others! Plan on going to Party City to look for the eye patch. It came with a hat, so we do not need that.

Ginger – We only get to do two days of the parks before the cruise. Everyone wants to go to AK, so we will go there one day and DH is lobbying for MGM, so I expect we will go there for the other day. I also saw that the parks were opening early on some thread, so I think that which park we go to what day will depend on if one of the parks we have selected are open early on. We will just be purchasing individual day passes, so no park hopping for us. Ten pounds in a month is a big goal. Go For It! I just got off the “baby weight” I gained having my DS, and that took me three years. There is no way I could do ten pounds in a month, I like sweets too much!

Well, off to get DD ready for a friends B’day party. I’ll try very hard to post my updated T or T list this evening!

Lynne I have tickets for a free popcorn at Animal Kingdom, I know its not a big deal, but they were sent to us from Disney for some screw up there this past summer. They sent us 12 and they expire in November, so there is no way I am going to use 12 popcorn tickets. Anyway, if you want a couple, send me your address and I will mail them to you. The same goes for everyone else, first come first serve.

Jan--don't know why you don't have your documents yet. Our TA called Friday afternoon, I was at work and DH was outside doing the usual outdoor things. Our documents are in and we can pick them up at 9:30 on Monday morning. I plan to convince Phil that picking them up before our exercise at the Y makes the most sense.
I have occasionally had that sort of thing happen when I purchased something on ebay. Usually not the pins but interestingly on the Boyds Bears. Or the beanie babies, those are usually the oldest DDs interests. I figure if it goes beyond the buy price I need to decide if it is worth the extra. Maybe there is a run on tuxes for young boys all just the size of yours.

DH and I were at the Epcot Food and Wine event two years ago. We had a really great time trying all sorts of new and interesting dishes. We also did MNSSH at the same time. And enjoyed it too. We had one wine at the Wine and Dine event that I am still trying to find a bottle of. Pa. with its' state store system just doesn't get the really good wines.

Oh and one more thing. If you wanted the Cruiser shirts for the cruise. You have till the end of the month. My schedule is getting very tight and I won't be able to complete them and get them to you before the crusie if I don't make the deadline 9/30/02.

Getting closer and closer to Magic Time

Hi Ray so nice to see you posting again. Can't wait to see you and Tony again.

Dena thank you for the invite, but the 20th is the day we move into Old Key West for our 5 day stay there. We also have ressies at Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner at 5:45pm. Maybe we'll run into you at Mickey's party. If it's cool that night I'll be wearing a Disney Halloween Demin shirt a lime green ribbon too. We are working on a Halloween T-shirt for Ashley. I'm not putting her in a costume, just to much on and off of the rides she would have it destroyed before we got on the ship. Congrats on your weight lost.

Lynne I love the sweet too, but if I stick to my diet and exercise everyday the 10lbs will be gone in 2 weeks. Not that long to go without. I keep thinking about all the YUMMY desserts I'll have aboard the Magic that helps me get through it. BTW Congrats on your lose also.

Rory that is a sweet offer but I think DCL will be a little upset if 20 some family tag along with yours to be first aboard.

Lynne: I ended up winning DD a flowergirl dress for $23 (wow!) and emailed the seller to see if I bought a tux for DS at the Buy It Now price, would they ship it for the one shipping price? They agreed so I should get them both this week. DD will be THRILLED with the dress - PINK!

We are not doing the park until after the cruise. I think we're doing MK both days since Saturday won't be a full day. My friend from Tampa got us great rates at AKL so we're staying there - is Sunday typically an "early admission" day? If so, we may change our location. We're doing a dinner Sat. night - we thought about the castle, but it was totally booked so I think we'll do Downtown Disney with our friends and the kids will love Legoland and The Disney Store (which I also love).

I pulled out our box and went through everything - next I'm making a list (and checking it twice). Next Sat. I'll head to the alteration shop - my one dress is too long and if DS's tux arrives and needs a fix, he can do that then. Other than that and finalizing our wardrobes (which per this board I should cut in half after I finalize LOL) I think we're in really good shape.

Back to OK tomorrow - I'll be home Wed night - have a good week!

Oh yeah, we don't have docs yet either. We upgraded from a Cat 8 to a 6 and are on Guarantee status, so I'm thinking ours might take awhile to arrive - I figure they're sifting through all the assignments and they'll fit us into something (maybe yet another upgrade? You gotta hope) and then we'll get them? I'm not in panic mode yet

I'm not doing Halloween Horror Nights, but this year it will be held at Islands of Adventure, not Universal. Weird, huh?
