We got the great prices on flights through America West Airlines. I went to pick them up today and they were $59 instead of $66.50, YES this is round trip from Columbus, OH.

Yes we need 3 leis as well, I am going to get flags for everyone (I hope)

Dan

We got our Halloween Cruiser shirts today!! Purple !! They look great! Thanks Ray.

How many people are getting them and how many are going to wear them for Embarkation Day? I am thinking they might be neat to have on for the Boarding-the-ship picture, but on the other hand, we have some Disney Cruise Line shirts that I would enjoy wearing for the picture. Can't do both. What are others going to do?

Welcome, mdvasquez! I look forward to getting to know you!!

Although I love the the Halloween shirts, I'm not getting them. We just have to cut costs somewhere.... I don't know what we plan to wear.

Dan!! You stole those tickets!!

Hi All:wave: Welcome Aboard Mdvasquez:sunny:

Sorry, I haven't been posting much I have too many things going on at one time. Interviewing contractors for some home improvements, shopping for a new truck, just shopping for now, getting Ashley ready to start school in a few weeks and the gardens have to be tended to everyday now. My list goes on and on but I won't bore you anymore.

Way to go Dan and Scott on those unbelievable fare.
Yes, Jan I'll be wearing a purple Halloween Tee-Shirt Thanks Ray.

Well, got to go to bed. yYall have a nice weekend.:bounce:

We took 4 gold in the pool last night too though i wasnt actually there. Its not at all bad when you consider Australia took 5 (but with Ian Thorpe what can you expect?) Has any1 else been following the commonwealth games or are you all in the US?

Thank you for the nice welcome!

Jan: I have read about half of the thread. I cant keep up with who is who. Hopefully I will meet you guys and then be able to put names with faces.:) It is odd to read news from all over the place, and all the prep work that goes into everyones vacationing in florida. I guess because I live here, Disney is only an hour and a half drive for us, so we can just wake up and decide to go on the same day.:jester: Lucky me.
Anyway, I am not sure about meeting for dinner with you guys the evening before sailing, as I have two boys 15 and 12 that will not be sailing with us and need to get them settled before we leave. But I would love to have the green leis for sailaway.
I think we will participate in the trick or treating, my daughter who is 11 will be with us. So let me know about that. We will be in stateroom 5020 (secret porthole!:p )
I cant wait!

mdvasquez: Great - I will add you to the lei list and to our general list of who's onboard. Just you, dh and DD?

TO EVERYONE:

I am going to be updating the list this weekend. If you have any additional info (stateroom number, staying at Radisson, Early/Late dinner, email addresses, who is traveling with you, etc.) you'd like included, please let me know. You can send me a PM here or email me at cdcotch@swbell.net

I will add a column for green leis too!

Everyone who has supplied their email addy will get a updated copy when I finish and I'll let you know here once I've mailed it out!

For those not coming to the Radisson - where's our first meeting/handing out of green leis? I'm thinking if anyone sees us at the Terminal, we definitely give them out then, but we need to decide if we're trying to meet up at the Sailaway Party at some point!

Thanks for adding me to the list:) Now I feel included! Traveling with me is my DH, DD and MIL.

DENA: The cruise list that Debby and Lynn are putting together would be a way to keep us organized in your mind. I started some pages in a notebook and wrote down info about each person as she or he shared on this thread. It is a big help in keeping track of everyone, and now the cruise list is even more organized.

We had 5020 on our 2000 MAGIC cruise. It is a lovely room!! You will love it. We asked for it this time, but it was taken. How far out did you have to reserve?

While walking on Deck 4 one day on that trip we heard a little boy ask his Dad what those white barrels were (that have the life rafts in them). The Dad said that they were depth charges. :) We got such a kick out of the idea that we could protect ourselves against enemy submarines! that we called the one our our porthole our own personal depth charge. ;)

Depending on where the boys will be staying, you could bring them to the Radisson for the meet and maybe not do dinner as you would have to take them to their "vacation accomodations". Whatever works for you, just know you are welcome.

ALL: I did not want anyone to feel left out or obligated about the cruise shirts. I hope I did not offend anyone. We are excited about ours, but everyone has to balance his or her own budget and we sure understand that.

How about a Sail-Away meet on Deck 10 Starboard? :Pinkbounc
I would love to see if we can get someone who lives in the area--like Shirley Brown of The Perfect Gift, to go to the GRILL restaurant and take our picture as the MAGIC leaves port. That restaurant would be on the starboard side of the ship. Then she could mail it or e-mail it or post it or something and we could have it for scrapbooks when we got home. I have not asked her yet, it is just an idea.

Hi Dena welcome to the thread that keeps on growing and growing. We're up in Pa. , where we are experiencing Florida weather. We are longtime friends of Jan and Tom. This is our first cruise and we are looking forward to it and to meeting all the neat Disney people on the thread.
Jan, we have our shirts and no one needs to feel pressured and I am sure everyone knows you weren't pushing.
I like the sail away meeting on deck 10 idea. Should be fun. We can all wave like mad and have a great time doing it.
I checked out the Disney Snob site and laughed as I thought gee I understand and agree with all those thoughts. So I guess that puts me in the snob group. But really most of the things in there are just good manners. Except maybe the Bikini tops.
Thunder in the distance so off for the night. Estelle

Hi there - I had been meaning to post on this thread, but in all honesty - time slips by so fast and I forget why - anyhow first I want to tell you that anyone that wants me to go to Grills and take pictures - consider it done - no problem
I am trying to find out when Fantasy Fest is in Key West this year in October - I know it always includes Halloween and if you are there for it this year - Oh my gosh are you in for a lot of fun - it is like the Marti Gras in New Orleans - BUT not considered good for small kids - the excitement is beyond anything you can imagine - anyhow as soon as I find out will post the information and if anyone wants to know more about it, will find a link for you ok.
Meanwhile have a great time as you get ready for your magical cruise.
God bless and stay safe.
Always
Shirley

Thank you, Shirley for your picture taking offer!! And thanks so much for looking into the Fantasy Fest is in Key West!!

Jan,
Thanks for the info on how to keep up with who is who!:D As far as our stateroom goes, I think we booked about a year ago. Usually we book our cruises a year to two in advance. Right now we have a three day booked for January and another 7 day for next halloween.:p My husband thinks this whole disney cruise forum is a riot. He says I have found my true family! He didn't think there were other disney fanatics out there!:Pinkbounc
I talked to him about meeting at the radisson the night before, and he said unless we get a room and stay overnight it's too far to drive there on Friday and Saturday. Do you know how much it is for a room? And where exactly is the Hotel?
Dena

Wow, we ordered our passports less than 2 weeks ago and got them today!

Talk about quick service.

Dan

Hello fellow cruisers:

Just wanted to drop you guy's a line that the cruiser site is back in business, there was a problem with it after I crashed my computer again but it is now back on line.

We are eagerly waiting for the cruise and cannot wait to see each and every one of our fellow "Halloween Cruisers"

Ray and Tony

Ray and Tony,
Is that a picture of the shirts everyone is talking about? If it is, it's great, I love it! Is it too late to get one? Where can I get one? Sorry for all the questions.
Dena

Hello Everyone.

Thank you for the very nice greetings. We get more and more excited each day. The people I work with are probably sick of hearing about the cruise. Our receptionist is returning from WDW today.

Ginger:
Thanks for the information on the Radisson. We have decided to spend Friday night there. We made our reservation on Monday evening.

We are not sure yet when we will arrive. We will be driving down and will be spending the first and last days of our vacation with family in Georgia.

Jan:
Yes, I did read the whole thread. I had so much fun reading the first few pages I had to read the whole thing so I would be up to speed before posting.

Debby:
Thanks for reserving leis for us. I guess great minds think alike. I was planning a trip to Party City to get leis but had not made it yet.
I will be sending you a PM with our info.

I have not started packing yet but we have started our packing list. I think on the "To buy" list I will need to add "more luggage". I admit, I do not travel lite and our 2 year old needs more stuff than I do.

Have to go now. When 2 year olds are quiet, something is wrong.
