Then Im definatly not mature, Im always gonna be insecure about one part of me or another.

Oh I forgot to say, the whole water drinking thing works really well. In Italy I drank about 3 litres of water a day simply cos it was so hot and by the end of the week id lost about 3 pounds despite eating pizza everyday.

Maybe we never really get totally mature.

Thanks for the input on the water EMMA.

What is the deal about green leis? Are we each buying our own or is someone getting a truck load and we will pay you back?

Jan :earsgirl:

None of us ever matures completely. After all we are all going on a boat that may or may not have crew members who are mice, ducks, dogs or possibly even chipmunks. Interesting thought.
We have finally gotten cooler here. Yesterdays high was 97 and todays' is 80. We had some really extreme thunderstorms last evening. So for the next day or two the weather is going to be better. I hope so.
Jan--found guide for Phil at Borders. Took me 40 minutes to find one with Cozumel in it. Did actually find one that has Grand Cayman and Cozumel in the same volume. Gets it tomorrow. The bears are quite large, something in the 12 to 16 inch size. I think Elza got him the Big Al one and I got one of the others you know Ted/Fred/Zeb. Interesting to see how he likes them. Estelle

For years I have told people that when I grow up I want to work at Disney World. I get some great reactions. Some people LOOK at me--I can almost hear them thinking--"you are now 53 and this is not grown up?" One of my son's friends said "You will never grow up." But he is going on DCL for his honeymoon in January!!

ESTELLE: Keep us posted on Phil's reaction to the travel book and the Country Bears. I keep hearing from people that before the cruise their husbands did not think they would like to cruise but once they were on the ship they loved it. Maybe I will start a new thread about that.

Jan :earsgirl:

If and When I ever grow up I don't want to work at Disney World. NO! NO! NO! I want to live in Cindy's Castle and be happy forever after. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Just keep the noise down, Well Ya!

Ray I got my shirts today! Yahoo! Good Buddie... Let the Thunder Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you hear me chapping? Go Ray Garth Go. WOW!:p I'm:crazy: about it. I can't wait for our cruise.

GINGER: When you live in Cindy's castle can I come see you when I am on break from work?

Sounds like you like your shirts!!

Jan :earsgirl:

PATTY: That is so neat! Glad your DH loved his cruise.

I think it is great that a DCL vacation is more fun than the guys expect. My DH works hard all year and deserves a vacation that is relaxing and fun. I am so glad he has found that on DCL.

Jan :earsgirl:

I have to laugh. My dh is the one that brought up the cruise and convinced me to go from a 4 night to 7 night. With the kids being so young he thought we'd all get more out of the cruise than visiting every park. We'll get some couple time (that we definitely would not get at the parks) and we'll get *relaxed* family time instead of running from one line to the next (after ressie rush of course LOL).

We're still doing MK (how can you not take a 3&5 yr old to MK I ask?) but we are all looking forward to the cruise. I'm sure it will meet our expectations and hopefully surpass them. And I'm pretty sure we'll rebook for next year while on the cruise.

I will say that I am by far the most excited day in and day out. I think these boards help tremendously in knowing what to expect and in anticipating the fun

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!111:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Why of course Jan. I'll call Wendy Darling and we'll all do tea.LOL
Going on the cruises is what convinced my DH to buy into DVC.:bounce: Now he doesn't mind going to Disney World.

I am enjoying the replies to my thread about DHs expectations of the cruise. Thanks for sharing your input here too!!

We went to WDW when it was about 6 months old instead of going to my college graduation in 1972. We next went when DS#1 was one year old and then every two years give or take after that. Tom loved WDW and the boys' reactions to everything. We stayed at Fort Wilderness every time except the first time when we did not know any better.

When his professional conference was in Anaheim he told his boss that it would be cheaper for us to drive the motorhome from PA to CA, stay in it and his share of motorhome-cooked meals than it would be for him to fly out, stay in a motel and eat in restaurants. The boss agreed to the plan. Tom figured that if your professional conference is across the street from Disneyland and you leave your kids in PA, that is child abuse.

We went again in 1993 to Disneyland on our cross country tour so that we had hit all 48 of the lower states before DS#1 graduated from High School.

A Disney cruise was my idea. I sent for info and squirreled it away since I did not want to bug him. But sometimes he got the mail first with cruise stuff in it so knew about it anyway. After that first cruise he was hooked. On the second cruise we joined DVC so we could take both DSs (25 and 21 years old) to WDW since the new motorhome is a two person vehicle. However, this year the DVC points are going for the cruise.

QUESTION: What is our plan for departure? Are we going to be wearing Cruise shirts like Ginger's (we are ordering ours today!!) or LEIs or both?

Jan :earsgirl:

Debby - My husband also liked the relaxation of the cruise better than the "running" from theme park to theme park for 7 days straight. After our vacations at WDW we always would say "We need a vacation after our vacation." Of course we can't go to Orlando without going to WDW so we're just doing one day at MGM before the cruise. Patty :earsgirl:

I hope you all realize that the only reasons we ever got to WDW were: 1 My in-laws were spending 6 months of the year in Florida, and Phil knew I needed a relax after the visit. 2 Our youngest DD was the only one in her class never to have been to WDW. and the number 3 reason...Tom and Jan were always talking about how great it was and so... we went. I think our first time was about 1987 and every year since then and once or twice two times in one year. So the cruise this time is all Jan and Toms' fault. I think DH will like it.
Jan Phil liked the guide and the two bears. I think he also printed out all the pages of the thread. Something to read on vacation in two weeks. I think I will take the pages and high light the things he should read.
By the way can a villainess join the tea party? As Malificent I would be sure to bring the dragon part of me. I can heat up the tea pot with one breath. Estelle

:) Now you all know why people ask how much I get paid by Disney for talking about their parks and cruises. :)

Jan :earsgirl:

ESTELLE:
Malificent  can come to the party if it's OK with Ginger, after all, she is the one living in Cindy's castle and I am only there at her invitation on breaks from my job working at WDW. (I know that red face with fire is supposed to mean MAD but it sure fits as an illustration for Malificent.) ;)

If you haven't done it already, it might be better not to high-light the thread pages and let Phil find the info on his own. How many sheets of paper did it take?

Glad he liked the themed presents. E-mail B-day greeting coming to him today on your family address. :smooth:

ALL:
Too bad I don't get paid for advertising for Disney.....:Pinkbounc

Tom :earsboy: agrees with the other DHs that a cruise is a relaxing vacation. The way we made WDW relaxing was to do parks every other day and hang out at the campground or visit hotels, restaurants, water parks or mini golf on the opposite days. Early to bed on a slow day and early to rise on a Park day. When we first went to Fort Wilderness we did not understand why anyone would hang out all day at the campground, but we quickly learned it was a way to maximize our energy and money.

:bounce: We ordered our shirts last night!! :bounce:
:Pinkbounc Purple Polos!! :Pinkbounc

Have a super day,
Jan :earsgirl:
