Ashley has been watching me put our goodie box together, tonight she adding a few of her Disney beanie to it..."Just so we don't forget them Mommy."

Emma by the time you are 21 you'll be a well traveled lady of the world. In just the few months that you have been posting on this board we have read your post and so to speak. watched you grow. Keep up all your good work. By the way, you know we all proud of you and for sure want to hear your CD.

Jan I think your brain is a great idea. I am going to look for one for myself, I think I'll need it to keep up with my child. Yahoo!!! Jan another Dis'er at the Rad. BTY Ginger is just a nick name that I have had my whole life. Yes, we had a day of smoke from the fires.

Patty thank you for the Disney show reminder, I still missed it, I guess I really do need an organizer. I did remember to put a highlighter in my box thanks to you and tape too. Oh! Patty just pack flip flops lite in weight and they go with everything... DON'T THEY????

Dan has your Mom been walking around saying... HUMMM!!!!! Why don't ya come up and see me sometime? We'll be handing out a little of both. I ordered Halloween stuff from Oriental Traders a couple months ago. We are going to go to Playa Sol or Mr. Sancho to play on the beach while in Cozumel.

Counting the days.

Well running out of words folks so that's all for now.:p

In my "stuff to pack" bag I put two little speakers that ought to be able to plug into a CD player so a group can hear Emma's choir CD.

DAN: Check the web for info on Mae West. Teddi Beara at the Country Bear Jamboree is modeled after her. She was a slinky lady of old movies. Big flowered hats. Maybe even check the video rental place for some movies. Watching them would be fun for your Mom and probably you too. Mae West was with W.C. Fields some of the time. Could you get together a costume of him?

We are getting some trinket items/toys and some candy of unknown variety for T or T. We do know that Ashley cannot have peanuts.

My post before this put us at the TOP OF THE LIST.

Jan :earsgirl:

Okay, Mae West was probably the Madonna of her day. You all know what a life jacket looks like? Well during the war (WWII) the sailors named their life jackets Mae Wests. And if Dan doesn't know who Mae West was he might not know who W. C. Fields was. And I don't know how to discribe him. I know that his tomb stone says something to the effect " I'd rather be in Philadelphia."
We seem to be the best thread going.
My new Disney shirt and shorts arrived today so they are going into my pack these for October box.
Jan and I will be ordering things from Oriental Trader and adding candy too. So TorT seems to be going right along.
That's all from here for tonight. Estelle

I thought Dan would not know W.C. Fields since he did not know Mae West, but did think that the old movies on video would be enjoyable. And--how to describe him--he had a big nose and talked like he was drunk--slurred his words.

We just hit the double digits. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
I've been waiting soooo long. Over a year now. Can't wait.

Unfortunately I was wrong about that program I thought might have the Disney ships. I'll still be searching the DiscoveryChannel & Travel Channels websites to find the right show. If anyone sees a listing please post. Thanks!!! Patty:earsgirl:

Believe me, the 99 days will fly by! I started counting down to Venice at 84 days and it's already been and gone. I'm really looking forward to it now! It's gonna be soooo kool! And hopefully trick or treating will be fun, I mean last year some1 gave me a potato!

WOO HOO!!!

Less than 100 days - that was one of my first thoughts when I woke up today!!!!!!!

I think we'll do something fun and a small amount of candy for TorT - no peanuts right? I'll try and get non-melting items for the trip over.

I just ordered our Captain Marvin's excursion. We're doing the 1/2 day (10 am - 1 pm) for 2 kids and 2 adults. DD will be free and if the weather looks bad or the kids absolutely love the clubs, we may consider leaving them on the Magic.

I have no idea what/if I want to do at Key West. I've been before and would like to wander the shops/bars (lol) and possibly do a sunset cruise, but I hate to miss dinner on the Magic too - it might depend on our rotation.

Cozumel, we're considering the beach - we'll probably book through DCL but I'm not sure. I've been there too and rented mopeds but that seems to be discouraged now (we were there in the mid-90's). I must hit Carlos and Charlies too!

I've talked it over with the rest of the family and we are going to do the Captain Marvin's 3 hour snorkel excursion too! My only problem is my 11 year old DD. When we snorkled last year in Trunk Bay she became very frightened of some big fish that came near her. So when I mentioned the 'swimming with stingrays' she was a little leary. I think she'll be fine with it. It sounds like a lot of fun!!

I figure with 3 stops if they want to stay on the boat for the stingrays, they can still see the other fish (smaller) at the two other stops.

Yeah I sort of explained that to her but told her she'd be missing a once in a lifetime experience. I think she felt better knowing she had the option of staying on the boat or giving it a try. We'll see. If she sees her younger sister doing it she may decide "what the heck"!.

Well I celebrated the arrival of less than 100 days. I went to the local upscale super market and bought myself a Key Lime Pie. Wanted to get in the swim and start thinking of cruises. Only one draw back. I have to eat the whole thing myself. DH had a small piece and said that was enough. Gee life is tough.
I haven't even started thinking about things to do and see on the cruise. We are leaving in about 3 weeks for New England and have to be planning that trip first. As you can tell we are not exactly plan too far in advance people. Think I'll go walk off the pie. Maybe the Doberman would like a walk. Estelle

Way to go Estelle :p
I have heard of mood music but now we have mood food. Good plan. Enjoy a bite for me. :)

Jan :earsgirl:

I'm certain that we will do some type of stingray excursion, but to be honest, swimming with the stingrays does NOT interest me one little bit!! In fact, I would be a bit scared to do it or might even just stay in the boat, which then seems like a waste of money to me. Yes, I'd get to see my ds' face light up as he does it. He's sooooo excited to do it and he just LOVES any type of animal interaction...
I'm wondering if maybe I should just enjoy some quiet time on the ship...
Any thoughts?

Well I have a fear of fish so there aint no way im swimming with stingrays! Maybe I should rethink the whole marine biologist thing

EMMA: How did you get a fear of fish?

My Dad always said that insects (except maybe mosquitos--and we learned why they are here in LILO AND STITCH), fish and most other animals are more afraid of people than we are of them so they will run from us.

From what I understand about the Stingray City, you can watch or pat them, but no one is forced to. They take you out to a sandbar where you can stand up. Sting rays feel like find sandpaper. We patted some at Sea World many years ago.

Every time we went snorkeling we had to swim to keep up with the fish--they kept swimming to another part of the reef. They are so lovely in the Caribbean. Colorful and cute. It was so much fun. I would snorkel every day if I could.

Jan :earsgirl:

Thanks Jan, your bite was excellent.
I tend to wonder how you got to be afraid of fish too, Emma. Most fish that I have met up really close and personal have been smaller than I am. I do admit that swimming with rays doesn't do any thing for me either. Dolphins yes those I would like to swim with. Of course then there are the other large water mammals. I do not swim with sharks. Lived too close to the shore as a kid and they are frequent visitors to the coast. I'm guessing that the islands have lots of things to do on dry land and I'll be the one admiring the ocean from the local sea food establishment. That's actually another way of admiring the local under sea residents. They could be very tasty. Estelle

I dont have a clue! Im just absolutly terrified of the way they move. Im the same with frogs and spiders. I love dolphins, manatees, whales and such like, just not small fish.
