Somebody mentioned on another thread that there was a bride who was married at a local church in Orlando and then had the reception at Disney. We are considering the same thing so I was hoping somebody knows who they are and can point me their way, thanks!

Hi there we are the couple in the link above, we got married at a church 15 minutes away from disney and then had our pre reception and reception in epcot. When I was planning my wedding there were no catholic brides that I could go to with questions which made it increasingly difficult, if I can help with anything at all please let me know.

Thanks!

I'm going to peruse your PJ/TR, but I'm sure I'll have a million questions for you! A quick question: Did you book your reception through DFTW or just as a general special event?

I booked everything through DFTW, they still provided transportation to the ceremony, had we had time they would have provided floral for the ceremony.

That's really neat. It looked like from your PJ you also got the use of the bridal salon. How did you go about setting that up? I did you just tell them what the situation was? What about the pricing? Did the minimums and everything change since you weren't having an on property ceremony?

No everything is the same, minimums, pricing, requirements are all the same. Disney considered it a DFTW with an off property ceremony. They set a minimum and it was up to me how to spend it, I chose not to do a ceremony but I was still entitled to a site visit and a planning session.

Sweet! Thanks for the info.
