Please could you tell me how far before you travelled you received all your cruise documents? I'm a just a bit concerned about getting them before I fly. Would like to hear what your experience has been!

It's a couple of years ago now, but I think we received our pack fairly close to when we travelled - maybe 2 weeks or so beforehand. I think it was a fed-ex delivery, but I might be mistaken.

Hope you have a brilliant time (what am I talking about - it's a Disney cruise - I *know* you'll have a great time :D)

Paul

We cruised last year and got our documents about a month before we sailed delivered by Fedex.

We booked ours with Dreams and actually never got the documents until we got out to the States and had them delivered to us at our hotel. This wasn't a problem at all we still had plenty of time to read and digest everything and fill in all the forms that needed to be filled in. I'd read most of everything from the Cruise board anyway.

Some friends of mine had booked through MyTravel and didn't get their documents until 2 days before the flew out !! I guess it just depends.

Don't panic Debs if you don't get them before you fly and your staying in the Orlando area before the cruise you can always pop into the Beach Club and go up to the Cruise desk and they'll be happy to oblige and get new documents to you ASAP. If this isn't the case ring your TA or DCL direct whoever you booked the cruise through and chase for them.

I've been 3 times on the Magic - booked for next year as well! Anyway we always book with Transolar and we get them about 2-3 weeks before we fly out. They usually already have them and I phone to remind them that I am flying out early! I think DCL post them out about a month before.

The first time I got them about 5 weeks before my departure from the UK, the 2nd time about 2 weeks or so - both times via Fedex. They do come direct from DCL so it's them you need to ring if you are worried...if they have already been sent they'll give you the Fedex number so you can track them online :)

Hmmm this is interesting Penny. Did you ask Dreams direct to send them to your home address coz I was told by my agent that they couldn't send them to the UK and that's why we had to wait until we got to the Yacht Club? Obviously I'm assuming you booked through Dreams :p

The first one was thru Dreams, the 2nd was the DVC cruise. The subject of whether they could send tickets to the UK never even came up on either occasion - how odd!

We booked through Dreams and we got ours about six weeks before.

Well I'll make sure that doesn't happen to me again :p

Thanks Penny and Mark who knows why I never got mine and was told different I didn't even think to check with you two - doh!!!!!

Thanks for your reassurance! Not that I'm paranoid or anything!! We booked using points with Disney Vacation Club for this Nov and have booked with DCL direct for the Xmas 2004 cruise, so I'm hoping that all will run smoothly!! Anyone else from the UK on the Xmas cruise?
