Calling anyone who has been to LA MANGA in Spain!!

Hi Guys! We are off to La Manga in July for 2 weeks and are staying in a villa at El Coto Del Golf on the resort. Has anyone out there ever stayed in this part of the complex? Would love to know more and see photos!!

It's been a long while since we were last there and I would love any advice on your favourite restaurants and the ones to avoid!

Also, we would like to venture out..............has anyone been to Murcia itself, to Cartagena, Mar Menor, San Pedro Del Pinatar or the water park at torrevieja?!!!! Would love to hear all opinions good and bad!!!!!

my parents have a house in torrevieja so ive been to the area a fair few times.
cartagena is nice, the sea wall area is nice. its an old walled city with lots of shops.
mar menor is lovely, its a nice lagoon seperated from the sea by la manga so it makes a nice place for some sheltered swimming (some of the sea tides can be a bit rough), be careful around july as there are a LOT of jellyfish around. they were lots washed up on the beach the last time i went in july.
san perdo is a nice town with a lovely harbour, there's mud baths/mud flats if you want nice skin!!
theres a small town very close to murcia airport called santiago de la ribeira (not 10% sure on spelling there!!, i just remember the name cos it sounds like ribena!!), its a lovely little town, nice seafront with some lovely restaurants. if youre flying from murcia airport, we normally check in a few hours before, get rid of the luggage, then pop off to that town for a drink or something, then back to the airport!!

We were out that way over New Year and got lost trying to find La Manga so gave up, but will definately visit when we go at Easter or in August.

We are buying an apartment walking distance from the water park but have yet to visit. We walked all round Torrevieja and love it.
