i am planning a weekend away in May with my 3 yr old and need some advice!

We are hoping to go using points(DVC) and could either do 2 nights at the Disneyland Hotel or 3 nights at Newport Bay or Sequioa Lodge. I would love to hear the opinions of anyone who has stayed at these resorts as to which you think is the best option! Is the Disneyland Hotel worth the extra points?!

Secondly, what is it like there at the weekend?!!! What are the average wait times etc. We would be there for a Saturday and Sunday.

Lastly, how do we get from the airport to Disney!
Thanks for your help!

Hi

There is now a Disneyland Paris board on the DIS! Take a look over there for more information of the hotels...

The Disneyland Hotel at Paris is truly amazing. The location is outstanding and you can be out of bed and in The Disneyland Park within about 10 minutes! The hotel is right above the park entrance which is especially ideal for popping back for a break midday or in the early afternoon when the crowds start to peak. NPBC is also great though - however recently there have been a lot of complaints about crowd levels at the hotel.

Disneyland Paris does get pretty busy at the weekends, I'm not sure about May - we are going in May too (half term week) and I am expecting fairly high crowds. However, with good use of fastpass and the easy access to the parks from the hotels it shouldn't cause too much of a problem.

There is a shuttle bus that runs from CDG airport to the Disneyland Hotels which is ideal. Have you considered using Eurostar? It takes just 3 hours from London and is a whole lot less stressful than flying. After our last trip flying to DLP we will never fly again! - CDG is an awful airport and it is far too much hassle for a 2 or 3 night break IMHO.

If you have any specific questions feel free to post on the DLP board and I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Richard. :)

Hi

I stayed at the Sequoia in 1998 and would recommened it.

HI
I have stayed at the Sequioa Lodge and the Newport Bay Club and both were fantastic. The NBC is a fraction closer to the Disney Village. The Disneyland Hotel (where I have never stayed unfortunately) looks amazing and is right at the gate to the Park.
You certainly couldn't fault the two hotels I have stayed in...brilliant themed rooms and lovely breakfasts!

Disneyland Hotel is lovely.

The Disneyland hotel is absolutely great! It is right infront of the entrance for the magic kingdom part and only a two minute walk to the entrance of Disney MGM. The characters show up everymorning, during the free breakfast, and the kids can meet mickey and his friends and get pictures and autographs. I highly recommend the splurge. After staying there, I don't think I'd ever stay in the other hotels.

Hi Debs, The Disneyland Hotel is fabulous, as many have said, but in seems to be very expensive if using your points.

I would like to hear how you get on using your points there, as it's no doubt something we will do in the future.

Thanks

David :D

Okay, okay - I'm being boring again!! But have you considered the Hotel New York? Bigger rooms and nicer bathrooms than the Newport Bay or Sequoia Lodge, more like the Disneyland Hotel, but for less points or cash. Also has room service and is slightly nearer to the park than NB or SL.

BTW have you though about renting your points to pay for it? It will probably work out better value.

The shuttle bus from CDG is very easy, especially as they now pick up from all the terminals.
