We are two weeks and two days away from our first time staying at WL, and I really need to hear from all you experts, what is the best room (number please?) that you've stayed in, and why? How was the view, and the noise level? I've tried searching through the WL thread, and I can't find what I'm looking for. I know there is no guarantee that I will be granted the room I ask for, but there's no harm in asking, right? And I've heard that they are pretty accomodating at WL, so I'd love to hear from all of you, which is the best room you've found, which building, and how was your view? Thanks so much for all the help!!!

Hi! I stayed at WL in Feb 05 and it was really nice. The lobby has a huge fireplace and the height of the ceiling is something. Anyway, we stayed on the 5th floor facing the courtyard...My parents had the room next to us. We were near center of the wing which was nice. The waterfall quieted noises from the pool area below (the waterfall runs through the lobby and into the pool!). We could see the pool, 1/2 to the docks, about 1/2 of the fireworks, and the beautiful night sky. After we put the kids to bed, we sat out on the balcony and watched what we could see of the fireworks and listened the the waterfall. As for noise, the rooms facing the lobby are NOISY from the Whispering Caynon all whooping and hollerin' below. The best view (to see the waterfall, pool, fireworks, and lake) are the rooms on the end of the courtyard facing toward MK above the 4th floor. Below that the trees are in the way. You're gonna love it! It was so pretty! :flower:

The WL is a great resort, but sometimes the rooms directly off the lobby (I hope I'm explaining this right) can be noisy, expecially in the morning when all that "yelling" is going on at breakfast!! LOL!! We went this past March and I was concerned about the noise level. We hadn't been there for a number of years and I asked on the DIS(where else!) about quiet rooms. My husband is a cancer patient and I wanted a room as quiet as possible. A wonderful poster told me to ask for a quiet room at check-in. I did and they gave me a room facing the villa pool. We did have to walk down a long hall (we didn't mind), but our room was super quiet and we had a wonderful stay. Sorry I can't remember our room number. There is only one building in the hotel section of WL, so all the rooms are in there. Hope this helped some.

ENJOY!!

What view did you book? If you booked woodsview, then you are for sure guaranteed that. I prefer courtyard view. I think it has the best view. So far we have only stayed on the 6th floor and facing towards MK. We can see the fireworks, but only the high ones. We can watch EWP at night. Next time, I will request the 5th floor and have a "see through" balcony. I stayed at the woodsview... didn't like it. We had the view of the trees which to me looks half dead pine trees and a small pond. Very quiet and very secluded which was nice, but I am looking for a nice lake and an the view is not limited.

We stayed in room 6145 a few weeks ago. It's an inner courtyard view, 6th floor. We saw the fireworks and the water parade nightly. (We didn't see the low fireworks, but we saw 90% of the rest.) We overlooked the inner courtyard, pool, waterfall, etc. It was about midway down the hall. There was absolutely NO noise. I was surprised that I didn't even hear the people in the pool. We did hear the boat horn, though. That was good, since we were able to plan when to get the next one.

I loved the room (non-smoking, bunkbeds, refrigerator).

Room 5143, fifth floor, courtyard view-I thought it was a great room. You overlooked the falls/pool area, and the lake. Could watch EWP every night from our balcony. Could not see MK fireworks, but for that we simply walked out to the front door/driveway-great viewing area. Have also stayed first floor, woods view, out by pool. Room was very quiet, but enjoyed the courtyard view much better. :Pinkbounc

We stayed in 6119 and 6121, courtyard view last June for 11 nights. My three kids had 6121 which had bunk beds and my DH and I in 6119. Everyone just loved it there, our view was of the pool/falls area but not too close to the lake. We will stay there again someday I'm sure!

We just had room 4100. It was the first room off the main elevators. It faced the Villas. It was quiet and easy access to the lobby and busses.

We loved WL!

In 2002, we stayed on the fifth floor with a Woods View. It was quiet - never heard another soul. We had a nice view of the MK and watched the fireworks at night when the kids slept (1 and 2). It was a quick walk to the elevator and to Roaring Forks.
