Calling all turkey leg lovers

Calling all turkey leg lovers.

Please help! never had one befor and i am thinking of getting one on my next trip to wdw.

So How good are they really?

Do they use barbeque sauce on them or are they just basted alot? I don't like barbeque sauce

On a scale of 1-10 Spiciness? I don't want to be sick during my vacation because it was just too spicy.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Turkey legs are not spicey. They are smoked, taste like ham. No barbeque sauce at all.

No sauce, not spicey...our favorites come from the lunching pad in MK.

They are very good, smokey and not spicy, but they are a little tooo salty for my taste.

Both DW and I MUST have a turkey leg each visit (that's over 30 legs) Well worth the money! Two can make lunch from 1 leg. We seem to prefer MK near Splash Mountain - although it is available in other DW locations. Call it a habit!

FYI= we own a professional electric smoker and these legs are worth it!

as a matter of fact - next week we will be having a leg or two!

They are smoked and not spicy at all. They can be difficult to eat because of their size and shape. I really enjoy them but need to make sure I am sitting down with plenty of napkins to enjoy. Getting one prior to going into see Fantasmic is my favorite time to have one. They are large and for many folks, will be a meal....which is incredibly inexpensive by Disney standards!

Last THanksgiving, DH and I noted the 2 big turkey legs leftover from dinner. THe next day we were headed to a city Xmas parade. DH grabs the bag with the 2 turkey legs in it. We sat on the curb, waiting for the parade, gnawing our turkey legs in a moment of Disney nostalgia. Our kids chime right in, pulling off pieces for themselves. BIL and SIL were appalled -- what were we thinking, chewing big ol' bird legs out in public like that? (They figured it out when we took them to WDW and showed them all the other folks chewing poultry, too!)

We get ours in Frontierland at MK, waiting for parade... mighty tasty.

Yes, but if you are sensetive to smoky flavoring (as some people in my family are), watch out!

Man, I cannot believe I have NEVER tried the turkey legs!! Been to Disney many, many times as a kid and "adult". How could I possibly have missed them?? My DH and I actually just heard of them recently on the Food Channel Disney special. Now we cannot wait! What other great snacks have I missed?
