of course ... but lately I've taken to putting my co-worker's stapler in jello.

Signed, hater of Gareth ... (anyone? anyone?)

Hi everyone. I've been reading this for a while and figured I should throw myself into the mix. :wave2: I'm a single guy, 31(almost 32) from VA Beach, VA. As everyone else here, I too am a Disney park nut, it's rare to have a day where I don't wish I was at a park....

Incredible Hulk Coaster (think Rock-n-Rollercoaster on serious steroids)
Dueling Dragons (sit in the first car if you are truly nuts)
Jurassic Park River Adventure (Splash Mountain x3)

US
Terminator 3-D
Back to the Future
Revenge of the Mummy
Earthquake
Shrek 4-D
Twister

It's rare I have a minute when I don't wish I was at a park. :)

So here I am.....50 and absolutely silly about Disney wondering if there are any like-minded gentlemen out there.

I have just returned from WDW and already well into planning a long weekend in October and a week in early December (annual pilgrimage).

If anyone happens to see one of these gentlemen wandering around, direct them to the short blonde doing her "Dory" immitation....."pick me!! pick me!!"

I don't mean to offend or sound rude, but I'm curous as to how some of the posters fell about going to WDW by themselves. Do you feel a little conspicuous entering the park and doing the rides by yourself?

I go by myself sometimes, and no. I don't feel weird at all. But then, I often go to movies, dinner and museums alone at home too. If anything, I feel less weird at WDW doing these things.

I just did my real first solo for 7 days. feel weird? NO, no one even paid attention!! they were to busy fighting and arguing!! not once did I feel weird. not even when eating! there was also alot of solos due to a convention and the spouses seemed to be around also!

Well...I'm not 6', and I'm only blond when I don't dye it red...but how come I never managed to meet you the whole time I lived in New Orleans?!?! Now that I'm back in FL, now I find out that there are in fact men in Louisiana who love Disney! Just my luck.

Going SOLO is a pretty awesome experience and I highly suggest it. Getting to be alone with nothing but your thoughts and feelings as you make your way through the parks is something special. CMs are eager to fill ride vehicles and single riders get good treatment. I just went SOLO for the frist time about 2 weeks ago. I've started a very detailed trip report / photo journal about my adventure. Follow the link below in my sig for an insight into this activity.

Enjoy!

hmm - I'm sad you didn't get the "gareth" comment - different show - the Office (the british version) - watch it. I think it's right up your alley.

I'll have to check out "The Office," but I am quite busy. Besides, it's amazing that there's something on TV that isn't a reality TV series.

They do seem to have taken over the tube  ! I'm not much of a "reality-TV" person myself. Most of what passes for a "reality" show really doesn't have much to do with reality, IMHO. I am a big American Idol fan, though; I love to watch the new talent being discovered.

BTW, are there any 40-something gentlemen on here from Western PA?

Okay I'm jumping in here....

SWF 42, 2 kids who aren't into Disney, they're tired of it. I'm thinking of going at the end of September. I have the quote just have to give the deposit. It would be my first solo trip.
