Calling all SINGLE solo travelers

40 something, single (but raise 12 Y/O daughter FULL TIME), so not exactly solo.

This is an interesting thought/thread. I would be interested in meeting some single gals (w or w/o children) that enjoy everything Disney, even if just for a surprise meal (something public).

First WDW trip is June 17 to June 28 (2600 mile flights).

Okay I'm jumping in here....

SWF 42, 2 kids who aren't into Disney, they're tired of it. I'm thinking of going at the end of September. I have the quote just have to give the deposit. It would be my first solo trip.

shout if you need any tips :earboy2:

Might as well be blatent about it, huh? :wave2:

Heading for WDW June 28 - July 6 with my DS18 for his graduation present. By the way, I'm sure he wouldn't mind meeting up with single females his age!

Great thread, but now I have my hopes up

That's a great pic.

Eisner graduated from the college I did not finish at.

40, never married. I go to WDW on my own, with friends or I'll take my mother. I own some DVC.

I'm not looking for anything, either. My personal sell-by date has long passed.

LOL :love2:

Hi there everyone.. Single Mom of 2 (DD 11 and DS ) from Maine -- we all love Disney - I am traveling July 2nd to 8th if anyone wants to meet up ! Michelle

I think I'll be fine except when it comes to meals...... any tips? I really don't want to do all counter service, I'd like a couple nice/good dinners.

Eat at a place with an open kitchen, like Jiko or the California Grill. There are others. You can sit at the kitchen and watch the chefs work.

Hey Everyone :wave2: Just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone out there. (SWF30something) I can't get enough of WDW even though I go 2-3 times per year. Next trip, Aug 21-26 , then Nov. 30th - Dec 10th, then who knows. I'm an AP holder so there's always time to head down for fun at either of my "homes" at VWL or BCV. Maybe we should have a MA meet? I'm on the Cape, but I'm willing to travel if anyone wants to get together.

Well mature in years (53)but not in my zest for Disney. After many trips to Disney with family I am comtemplating taking my first solo plunge. I'm going in September with my DGD and DGS and my DD but would like to attempt the solo thing for my spring vacation in April (You mean there are other places to vacation besides Disney!!! :rotfl: ). I think I'm going to go for it. Now to just keep it a secret from my family. I'm sure one of them will want to "tag" along. I guess I could tell them I'm going somewhere really boring like visiting the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa!! :earboy2: .
Anyway if anyone else is going in April 2006, would love to hook up a few times for dinner, lunch, ???

I'm female, 53, and live in Ontario, Canada

hugs

I was in Pittsburgh and visited Kennywood. It's an awesome park, IMHO.

I love Kennywood. My DB and I try to go at least once a year. My fave ride there is the Exterminator. We try to go to Idlewild in Ligonier once a year, too. What can I say-- I'm an amusement park junkie!

I have yet to visit Idlewild. I think I've been to every amusement park in PA except for Idlewild and Williams Grove. I even went to Sesame Place!

Hello all! I'm going to be at Disney from September 1st - Sept. 8th. The first 4.5 days will be with family, but there was just no way I wasn't going to extend this trip and go for a couple extra days. I'll be at Disney by myself from the evening of sept. 5 thru the 8th. I'd love to meet up with anyone if they're going to be there at the same time. I'm a 27 year old guy from Chicago who absolutely loves Disney!!!!
