Calling all SINGLE solo travelers

Thats okay, I am the only one from CO on here who is single and loves Disney!!! Here's to hoping!!!

Hi everyone! Thought I'd jump in here-- I'm a 28 year old single female from Northeastern Ohio-- no kids, but I am a DVC member (I wonder if I'm the only non-married crazy person to buy into DVC???)

Just another vote for you not being crazy as another non-married, no kids person who bought into DVC two years ago! My first solo trip was this past December and then just again last month!

Has anyone else gone solo on their birthday? I don't plan a special meal (although I might hit Boma, if the mood strikes and the wait's not insane). I might simply hang out in Adventurer's Club at PI until it's time for me to pumpkin and drive back home.

Just catching up to this thread and wondering if you went ahead and did a solo birthday trip and got yourself a button? I did a solo birthday trip the week before your birthday and got the button and didn't feel silly at all, it was really nice since I was there by myself to have all the CMs wishing me a happy birthday!

Haha...I feel your pain. I'm 28, and since my mom passed away in December, I've spent a lot of time with my dad. We go to the same church, and for the longest time several people at church thought we were a couple LOL Anyway, if you guys would like to meet up at all when you're here, let me know...I live 10 miles away and love meeting new people.

I think it is funny considering that my daughter and I look so much alike, and she is still so young (she looks alot older though) I will PM you later with details about the trip.......I enjoy meeting new people as well..........If my job interview goes well in July I'll be moving to central Florida in August to be closer to my daughter.....maybe to your town!!!

How about a backstage, behind the scenes tour?



I bet she'd think it was really neat being able to go to some of the backstage parts of Disneyworld and see things many people never get to see. They offer a number of tours that allow children.

Or maybe a special dinner at one of the more "grown up" restaurants. I know when I was her age, I always loved when my parents took my brother and I to a nice restaurant and we got to dress up.

Another possibility is to set up something special through Gifts of a Lifetime. Maybe a park scavenger hunt?

Then there are always the just around the resort and parks things. Renting boats on Disney's lakes, horseback riding and carriage rides at Fort Wilderness.

Definately go to IOA. The Spiderman ride is awesome.

I ended up going out a day before the rest of my family (love business trips in Orlando on your birthday - don't you?). I wasn't going to get a pin, but when I had to show ID to use my credit card {buying my AP - Happy Birthday to me!}, the castmember gave me a pin and two use-anywhere Fast Passes! I put the pin right on and had a great time! I was treated like a all evening - right down to free pie and a serenade on the loudspeaker at Aladdin's Flying Carpets! The birthday pin now ranks second in my book, only to the Magic Bracelets you receive on Extra Magic Hour nights!
