Been gone for a while and look what happens! DVC owning SBF in ATL turning 47 all too soon. I've discovered that I have a few people down in here (I'm formally from NJ) who'd be happy to go along as long as the hotel is free...so going solo is more of a choice now than it was in the past. It'd be great to find a disney loving guy who also loves outdoor sports...but I'd settle for the outdoor sports part and continue as a solo traveler if need be.

Oh why not?? :confused3 It seems like everyone else has posted, I will too :earboy2:

I turn 22 in two weeks, male, and single. My next trip is April 06 when I (hopefully) get to watch my little brother march with his HS band down Main St USA in the SpectroMagic Parade. I've actually been planning a trip to WDW for more than a year now. I started planning a trip for this spring with my ex-g/f. Obviously that isn't happening. No money had been spent yet, so the only lost was a great trip. I just decided to wait the extra year and watch my brother march. I don't know if I'm quite as much as a disney freak as some of those on here, but I always enjoy going to WDW and acting like a kid (when you go by Goofy, you better enjoy acting like a kid ;) ) I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me in the coming months. :tilt:

now i gotta say..you guys were all right..there are guys my age that like disney...2 already posted on this thread! haha

Always willing to get to know Canadians.

CrCormier, you say you are always willing to get to know Canadians, well today is your lucky day...I am another Canadian girl. I am a SWF 30, from New Brunswick, Canada, that is on the east coast. I will be at WDW from May 6-13, can hardly wait. I have not been there in a about 6 years, I am way over due...ha ha ha. I had fun reading this thread, so I thought that I would post.

I'm a single 30 year old male from NJ going to WDW Oct. 2-8. Actually I'm going with my brother (who is flying for the first time in his life and his first trip to WDW) but I'll pretty much be doing things myself as we will probably go our seperate ways when we are there. This is my first trip to WDW without a female companion so it will be odd but should still be fun :goodvibes

Jeff,
When I go on the DCL cruise this summer, I'm flying with a friend who has never flown either. We may need to form a support group. :teeth: I'm jealous that you are going to WDW in Oct. I won't make it until January.

Going solo (or with some and going your own way) can be very fun. :) In some ways, I found it to be more fun than going with people. You can go on your favorite ride 10 times in a row and no one complains. ;)

Enjoy your trip. October is a great time to go.

What part of New Brunswick? A lot of my family still lives in the Moncton/St. Antoine area, that's pretty much where all my grand/great-grandparents came from. Have a great time on your trip!!!

Why does everyone complain that there aren't any good guys out there, or any guys out there that doesn't like Disney?? You just need to know where to look ;)

Yes, It seems that there are a lot of younger people that do like Disney a lot,I thought the same as you previously,I am 21 aswell & until recently felt there were not a whole lot of people my own age into Disney.I recently met a few people around same who would love to go to Disney Theme Parks & it seems the list is growing the whole time!!

I live in Fredericton. Not too far from Moncton well about an hour and a half away. That is neat that some of your family still lives here in beautiful New Brunswick. Have you ever visited NB? I am planning a trip to Moncton for my birthday which is also in May. You have a great trip as well, and hope you have a great birthday!!!

well since it seems like everyone else is posting i might as well too. I'm a 20/f from ohio that is obsessed (s/p) with disney. Hopefully i get to go this June w/ the fam. :wave2:

Just a little reminder, I'm having a mini-meet at Tubi's Buffeteria in the Dolphin on Sunday May 22 at 12-noon. Even though it's not specifically for singles and solos, there will be several singles and solo trippers in attendance (so far the total is up to 16).

Tubi's is a food court, so the meet is very casual. You can eat lunch if you want to, or you can just drop in to say hello for a few minutes.

If you're available and interested, just post in this thread:

I just got back yesterday from a trip to wdw with a good friend of mine and his family. This was their first trip. Turns out they weren't quite ready for the whole theme park experience. I'm used to being there from opening to close (I usually go in December). They on the other hand didn't want to hit the parks until about 10 or 11 and were ready to go by 2:30. Needless to say after a couple of days of that I pointed them in the direction of the buses and went solo the rest of the day. I must say that it's a pretty good way to go. See what you want, when you want. Eat what and when you want. You can also take advantage of single rider lines. This may have been my first but it won't be my last solo trip. Unless I find that special someone that is.

I did my first solo trip in the same way; went with other people who just were not into it and broke apart and stayed solo most of the trip. I booked my first "real" solo trip shortly after I got back. I agree, I sometimes prefer solo over going with people...
