Calling all professional planners

We will be landing at MCO at 7:40am - what is your best guesstimate as to what time we could get to MK.....of course, we will have to check in at CSR first and take the bus/shuttle. Any thoughts?

My guess would be:

20-30 minutes to get off the plane, go through the airport, pick up your bags, and find your transportation

45 minute drive from MCO to your resort

20 minutes to check in (if there isn't a big line, which I would think not at such an early hour... unless you run into people checking OUT)

10 minute wait for MK bus (with a little luck haha)

20 minute bus ride to MK (I've never stayed at CSR, but I've stayed at All-Star which is somewhat nearby)

If my guesstimate is correct, that would put you at the MK gates around 9:45 am - 10:00 am. Anyone else care to try?

How are you getting from the airport to CSR?

I would allow 30 min for baggage claim (8:10), 30 min for MCO - CSR travel (8:40), 30 min for check-in (which could be much better or much worse, and will depend on whether or not your room is ready 9:10), 30 min for the wait at the bus stop and the ride to MK (9:40), and 15 min for the walk from the bus stop and security checks (9:55).

The remaining gap is obtaining your transportation method from MCO - CSR. Towncar will be quickest - driver meets you at baggage claim, very little additional delay for him to go get the car - maybe 10 minutes tops. Rental car could be very quick (I got my on-site Dollar rental a couple years ago in less than 15 minutes) or a total time vortex if you're off-site and/or if the line is long. Mears is also a gray area - wait for the bus and wait once you're on the bus can both vary widely. My guess is that first thing in the morning, the bus will fill up pretty quickly and will leave within ~15 minutes of you checking in at the desk. But then there's also the possibility of (many) other stops before CSR.

Do you have to check in first? If you are renting a car you can go directly to MK if you are using hopper passes. If you're not renting a car you might be able to drop off your luggage with bell services (especially if there is a long line to check in) and check in when you get back from the park. Just trying to get you to MK earlier since the park gets crowded any day and any time of the year it seems.
