Has anyone eaten the chicken pasta at cinderella's royal table? I'm hoping it will work for a pre-race meal

Oh if anybody is doing Tink...hope the expo goes better than it is now for DL half..I thought PHM was bad but this felt much worse. Believe the overcrowding is due to those participating in the dumbo double dare have to package pick up today since they start tomorrow, Saturday.....no new Dooney's either just the leftover bag from the marathon on January.

The pics from the expo look unreal. I SOOOOO hope PHM is not like that.

Oh I've been reading about it all day...so sorry! I can't believe they didn't see it coming. It's too bad, the DL expo was always pretty chill compared to PHM in my opinion. I'm scared for Tink now. Bummer they didn't do a special Dooney this time, but I gotta admit, i LOVE that pattern and have been wanting it...I would've gotten one! I read that they didn't even do the race logo stamped on the key fob...that's kinda crummy if true. Nothing to really relate it to the race. I feel like they are going to have to end up moving the DL expos somewhere larger if they are going to continue with larger race caps and 3 races for the weekend. I said earlier on FB...I vote moving it to the convention center at Hilton Anaheim where they hold the D23 Expos...and that's also where we like to stay when we're at DL :). Already have a room there for Tink, so I wouldn't be mad about it :) lol. I hope it gets sorted out...and that they are taking notes for PHM! Hope you have a great race...let us know how that part of it goes!

The online tools use the middle of the road (map my run, google, ext) so the mileage will be off because most people, at least those who don't want to be hit by cars run on the side.

In addition to this, online tools also do not take into consideration if you don't run in a straight line. It will also be this way when racing. It's not uncommon for your tracker to show quite a bit more than race distance because chances are almost 100% that you will not be running in the straight line that they wheel measured. Zig zagging to get around other people or just to change sides of the road to change scenery can easily add an extra half mile or more.

Where is everyone eating after they run on Sunday morning??

I usually grab something quick at the hotel on the way back to the room at the food court and then celebrate for dinner. We're doing Be Our Guest again next year for dinner on Sunday.

For the last two PHM's we have gone to the first ADR at the Yachtsman Steak House - One of my absolute faves! But BOTH years I found myself just too tired to completely enjoy it - I was only thinking I wanted to be somewhere with my feet up and able to just fall asleep! So this year we will go back to the POLY, shower and late bfast at KONA for our celebration. Then a nap/spa time & early dinner either at Captain Cooks or in our room so we can sleep and make rope drop the next morning! I know it is a bit different than most plans but after the last two years I thick this is what will work best for us...hope it helps someone else when you are planning.

Hey all - wanted to let you know that I called Disney Dining today to find out why I couldn't get ressies at the Plaza during Princess weekend. The CM said it's under renovations from 2/16 to 3/1 :(

Nothing exciting immediately after - may ask my family to bring a sandwich to the finish. I do best with a parade of small snacks for a couple hours after a long run - bagel, fruit, pita w/ hummus, yogurt, etc. I've got an early dinner booked at Via Napoli. I'm usually ready to eat lots by dinner time!

Oh the race....about 74 with...wait for it....80% humidity !:scared1: made it through so thanks for the positive vibes ! Thought the conditions were worse than PHM in Feb...sun was out too so that just added to the misery.

For those doing the PHM and glass slipper...be prepared for heat if it happens ! my pace for the race was over one min higher than my training. I did finish in the allocated time and happy to earn the coast to coast.

Way to go! Congrats on the new bling! I've been glued to FB and twitter all weekend looking at all the pics...was watching the temps out there too, which made me feel a little better about not being there...I saw it was up to 100 on Thursday! Glad it cooled down some, but still sounded pretty warm, and oh the humidity :(. Enjoy your accomplishment and your time at Disneyland!!!!! (I wore my 2011 DL half hat today when I was running errands in support!)

Just found out it might be possible to swing a family trip to Disney over Princess Half weekend (February vacation week for us here in the Northeast)!!!.... Would love to run the Princess Half again, but it's sold out. Does anyone have an idea whether it is possible to find a registration after sell out? Maybe through someone cancelling or someone buying through a travel operator and signing up for two registrations? We have annual passes and DVC so do not need the hotel room and tickets that come with a travel operator option.

I did once get into the Disneyland Half after sell-out using GET travel... but at the time you only had to purchase a one-day ticket in addition to the race registration.

Thanks for any advice or ideas! I'll start reading back through the thread as well to see if this has been mentioned. Would love to be able to join the thread again - loved all the motivation and keeping up with everyone last year.

WHHAATTT this is such sad news!! :( I was so looking forward to eating there again for this trip! And getting some non-dairy ice cream that not everywhere offers! I guess I'll have to plan for somewhere else. The last day of my trip is 3/1...maybe they'll at least be open for lunch that day by some miracle? :worried:
Thanks for sharing this info!!

The only other officially sanctioned way is to run with a designated charity, but then you have to raise money. Disney does not allow bib transfers, and they don't have a waitlist.

As for unsanctioned ways.....people do sell bibs, but you would have to run under that person's name. And there's that whole trust issue with that type of transaction.
