And hit the disboards DVC lists for rentals- now for home resort ressies or in the 7 month window- not the least expensive option but you will have the buses etc and EMH:)

FYI For those thinking of renting points, I inquired about renting DVC points through a DVC rental company and was told July 20th is the 7 month point. (we are looking at a arrival date of Feb 20th). Just thought I would pass on that info :)

I can't figure out how to share a longer playlist from Spotify, but if you're looking for more music to add you might like the website jog.fm

It'll let you filter by genre and bpm or you can browse a bunch of playlists. It was really helpful!

Question about submitting a time....I did a 20K last year. I have an official time both for the first 10K and the full 20K listed on the website. I'd kind of like to use the 10K time (1:18) because for the second half of the race, I was supporting a friend who walked a lot and our time slowed down. I tried asking RunDisney but I don't think they understood the question and just told me that any race longer than a 10K is ok to submit.

So, does anyone know if I can just submit my time for the 10K split, or will they only take the complete race result? I'm planning on doing a half this fall and submitting whichever time is better.

In 2012 a 2:33 half marathon finishing time put me in corral C, so I'm hoping for a similar placement this year! Can you tell that I'm no one's idea of fast? :rotfl:

So funny, I was wondering this today! :)

I listen to a lot of techno, especially from the early 2000s, and my fave song to end my run to is the Top Gun Theme. Cheesy, I know, but super effective in getting through that last half mile or so!

I'm more of a Rage Against the Machine, Marilyn Manson, Disturbed kinda girl..... Don't really listen to them much outside of running, but love it when I am running. Also really into Imagine Dragons Radioactive right now.

OMG that is an awesome choice! I might have to steal that for my playlist :thumbsup2

They will take the entire race time--not a split time.

Am I the only one who doesn't run with music? :confused3

I find it messes up my breathing. I start to sing along and run faster/slower based on the beat. It's just easier to run in silence! :rotfl2:

I only run with music on the treadmill. But when I do I use the pace DJ app. I just select the beats per minute that matches my pace and it plays all the songs on my phone that match. Makes it easy to keep a steady pace:)

When the crazies start to hit I come over here (TRUST me that's a compliment) so NOW I am seriously thinking about the Happy Haunts 5K in Oct may be good for me as first official race ?

ME TOO!!!! But I still need to run with music lol. When I don't have headphones on and can actually hear myself breathing, I get 100% distracted and my drive to run instantly drops to zero. I hate being able to hear myself breathe when running!!

Exactly! If I can't hear my breathing, I don't feel as tired. Completely a mind game, but there it is :rotfl:.

On the treadmill I run with normal headphones, but for outside I have a set where I cut off the left earbud. I set my iPhone to mono so I get the whole song in my right ear, but hear ambient noise with my left. For some reason, that still takes care of the whole hearing-my-breathing problem :cool2:.

I have GOT to find this app. I run to music too and have finally gotten past the point where I completely match the beat to my pace but it sure feels easier when I'm on beat! I even set up my race playlists according to when I know I'll need that extra boost!

Does anyone know how to get an iPod shuffle to play a playlist in the order made? I made a playlist for the Donald, and I spent a long time tweaking it, only to discover on a practice run that the "in order" setting went alphabetically by artist, leaving me no recourse but to run with it on shuffle at the point I found myself needing musical motivation. All my iTunes settings appeared correct so I am hoping someone can help me troubleshoot?
