What I would REALLY like to know is how to run 13.1 miles and still look cute in all those character pics!??? I look like a hot sweaty mess when I run even 3 miles, let alone 13! When I did the Wine & dine, I only stopped for one character because I was so nervous about getting swept and it was my first race. I finished in 2:45 so clearly I would have had some time to stop for a few. One of the reasons I want to do the Princess is because of all the great characters that are out on the course. But I'm certain my face will be red-er than Minnie Mouse's skirt and my hair will not look anything like a princesses. What's the secret? :)

Just smile!!! The pics won't be close up enough to see the sweat running down your face anyway...and you'll likely have a minute or two to "cool down" and adjust anything that needs it in the line before it's your turn for a pic. ;)

Photoshop? I get red faced in the heat and when running also. No real tips here. Let me know if you figure something out :)

So excited to have registered along with 2 friends! This will be my first 1/2 and first Disney race! We're going to make a girls' weekend out of it. Can't wait!

Same here! Girls weekend for me too! My husband always jokes that only the girls can turn a 3 hour race into a full weekend getaway :thumbsup2

Girl's weekend here too! Originally, I was brining my mom and daughter (17 mths now) but then my gfs convinced me we needed to escape together. Had to explain to DH it was no longer a guy's weekend for him as he'd have our DD.

DH, DS and I registered today for the 5K. Will be our second Disney race and we haven't even run the first one yet

Ok guys, I'm starting to freak out a bit about the proof of time. I saw on the 10K registration the second range was 7-9 min/miles and the third range was 9:01-11 min/mile. I submitted my half marathon of 1:58:17 which is 9:01 on the nose - is that going to screw up my corral for the half??

Girls weekend here too! Going with my mom, aunt, and cousin. I can't imagine how overwhelming all of the "girl power" feeling is going to be that entire weekend. In a good way that is!

Another girls weekend. I am going with my sister, my daughter and my sister's daughter. We will also be celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday. Her birthday is the weekend before 2/16. This is our first Disney run. We all signed up for the GSC and so excited! :yay:

Nope- your half time will factor first

Hit send too fast

The half will corral you in the a-b range. The 10k will be more loosely corralled anyway. But you'll also be in the faster corral I believe.

I must be losing my mind. I didn't even see anything about a 10k estimated time. I think I did the whole thing too quickly. I put in my w&d half time as proof for my half estimated time. But I don't recall anything for the 10k. Omg, did I mess something up??? I was just so excited.

How will they work corrals for the 10k? Any ideas? Registering for GSC they only asked about proof of time for the half. I know none is required for 10k, but will they use POT we send in for 10k too? How have 5Ks been corralled in the past? Might that give clues?

Ok thanks, I feel a little better now. I know how crowded the course can be, so I want the best possible starting position. I'm not really the type to stop for photos in the middle of the race, and plan on giving it my all both days (whatever my body will me based on weather conditions and how tired my legs will be after playing in the parks!). I love Disney, but I love racing more, and there's just something about wearing a timing chip that puts an extra pep in my step!

If you go to sign up the 10K only, you are asked the following options:
Under 7 minutes
7:01 - 9:00 minutes
9:01 - 11:00 minutes
11:01 - 13:00 minutes
13:01 - 16:00 minutes

so my guess is those are the corrals for the 10k, no proof of time necessary. How it will translate to the glass slipper is anyone's guess
