Disney is totally killing me!!! :lmao:

Not only am I hanging on a hook waiting for prices and if they will offer pre-registration for Disney Visa... I'm still hanging on a hook waiting for free dining for our fall trip and the TOT 10-miler!!!

GAH!! Come on Disney!!!

I feel your pain!!!

I don't think that would be accurate, then it would be like they would be giving us the 10K and extra medal for free.

I had responded on the GSC thread before I saw this post. Totally agree that the 10k for free would be quite MAGICAL.

I called runDisney today for some answers and sputtered my coffee as I listened to the hold message "Please note most of your questions may be answered by visiting the runDisney website." Hilarious! Basically, I was told that the most up to date information is posted to runDisney site. Noted that there are AP/DVC emails already have more information than the runDisney site. We're 1 week away with no info.

Can I ask how you found it? I've looked at active a couple of times and nothing ever comes up.

Sure. If you google 2014 Princess deferred on Active.com, you can find it. Longhorns2 had a screenshot awhile ago on one of her posts, as well. Hope that helps!

It just makes me sad cause I feel like Disney is ignoring us! You know, they made cute little youtube videos to announce the Disneyland 10K and the Dopey challenge, but no video for the GSC :confused3 And still no concrete information!!

COME ON RUNDISNEY!!! COME ON ALREADY!!!!!! :hyper:

Seeing that the half marathon is listed for $160 and GSC is $160 and 10k is $95. I can assume the GSC will be $255, as that has to be in error the price, if not, awesome.

Complete speculation but I think there's a scheduling conflict on the Saturday of the 10k.

It's going to be more than the 2 races combined. The challenges always have a $10-25 up charge for the third medal I guess.

This is from WDW AP ( not rundisney). They HOPE that RUNDISNEY will honor any newer AP's that cannot be registered online. hmm....

Also, I did look at Disney Visa today: nothing posted on early registration. Beginning to wonder if RunDisney was overwhelmed by the WDW marathon weekend?

For those who have done the race retreat, do you need to sign up/pay for that when you register or can you add that later on?

I did race retreat two years ago for princess and bought it about 3 months after I registered for the race. We really liked it and normally I wouldn't pay that much more for a pre race tent but I do think with WDW races it's not a bad idea because of how early before the start you have to be there. We didn't really use it at all after the race, we just wanted to get our bag and leave! If you have any other questions just let me know!

I just bought a pair of Asics Nimbus 14s. I like them so far, but I haven't run in them yet. The pair that I run in now are Asics GT-1000. I am planning on saving the Nimbus 14s for the race (I will start training in them before the race so they aren't brand new). They are a really nice purple color and I am thinking of making an Esmerelda costume to run in.
I think I will try them out soon to make sure that I like them for running.

I think I may have that exact pair of Nimbus 14's. I love them but have decided to give a pair of Brooks a try. I've always run in Nimbus (only partially because I love the Harry Potter connection to the Nimbus 2000) and while they seem to work for me, I have a few nagging tweaks on one side that I thought would be worth giving another style of shoe a try.

You can add it later on, but it does sell out, so keep an eye on the RunDisney website ticker when it gets close. I liked having it for my first RunDisney half, but I probably won't buy it again. $99 is too rich for me on top of all the other stuff.

When I first saw the screenshot from the active.com deferral, GSC was listed at $0. That's even a better deal :rotfl2: . It would be nice to know the prices more than a week in advance, I mean they must have set them, right??? I'd be happy to keep their website updated for them and to improve the communication in exchange for free race entries (and I'd moderate the RunDisney FB page too!).

I got my Thanksgiving week dining reservations done on Monday, now I've got nothing to distract me from impatiently waiting for June 6 to get registered for GSC and Tink (if possible). :surfweb:

Hey all. I am in a frenzy trying to find a neon/lime green running shirt! Everything I have found is tooo see-through. :( I have gone everywhere and spent toooo many hours online looking. Can someone help me? :confused3 Cripey, I see you had one in that pic from Tink, I think. Thanks

Cindy

I couldn't find a woman's one. I ended up buying a man's one at Kohl's.

Ugh, I'm trying not to think about it, because really the price of the vacation is far more than the a registration fee...but really $160 (plus whatever gabrage extra they charge for the 10K and glass slipper challenge) for a half marathon is absolutely insane.

I have one of the new RFID APs that I got 2 weeks ago. I called the AP line this morning about getting a "conversion code" that could be entered into the AP site. They gave me a tech support number to call and a very nice young man got me a code and assisted with getting it set up.

The tech support phone number I was given is on my desk at work, but I would be happy to post it tomorrow if anyone is interested.

How far in advance do you usually need to submit a 10k time? I don't think there's a good one near me until thanksgiving.

For the January weekend, POT is due no later than 11/1. So approximately 2 mths before.

Thanks for the responses! This will be my first race. (I really wanted to do the 2013, but life got in the way.) Everything I've read so far recommended the retreat if it's your first race. But it's good to know I can sign up for that later. And I will be keeping an eye on it at the runDisney website, so thanks for the tip!

I would love to get the phone number etc from u. They were not that helpful to me at all : (

I too would like the number. I haven't tried to get a conversion yet, was waiting to see about DVC early registration, but since no details have come I should probably have a back up plan. I think Disney reps are wildly inconsistent. You can get some who will not stop working with you until they resolve the issue you called for assistance with. then you get others who if the easy answer isn't staring back at them, will tell you nothing else can be done. I can never decide what is worse the constant glitches of their website or the inconsistent phone customer service!
