I spoke to Adrie with Disney Sports this past week, and the P&P party is definitely NOT going to happen. They are working on planning a comparable substitute and once it is announced if you don't like the plans and already had purchased a P&P ticket you can get a refund.

i just really wish they would get their act together with this - i mean, they have our $$, then decided to change the course & the party.. (which pretty much made up the basis of the whole race.. LOL) It's just frustrating to be 8 weeks out, and not even know anything..

Also, who is planning on going to the Expo on Friday to pick up their packets? I am thinking we will be heading over as soon as it opens on Friday,, and get it done..

Sorry don't get in til friday afternoon so guess we'll head over fri night for packet pick up. We're dining planning it as the exchange rate has bombed for us and it seemed worth it to catch package once before the rates caught up. So we have a CS meal planned for tea which i guess will be pasta based in some way. The only things i know are keep it simple and familiar food wise. No expert but that's what i've been told.

i wont be getting my packet til friday night. im flying in to orlando friday afternoon...

Hey kids-

I'm in for the half! I'm embarassingly good at justifying Disney races now...

As far as eating, everyone says stick to what is normal for you. I ate pizza before the half last year. My husband and I were in Epcot after the half- I remember eating the food in Morocco for lunch and thinking that wasn't exactly normal for me... I then snacked my way around the World... it worked out fine, but I was nervous for the full! Of course, I used to steal Harry's Cheetos and Skittles and eat them while running on my LRs so my stomach was used to being abused.

Caitsmama- we're going to the expo first thing on Friday. do you think there will be transportation from the host hotels or do we have to go to Hollywood studios to get a bus from there? Come to think of it, where is the expo?

Oh Jen! That is too funny!! I love Sourpatch Kids on my LR. My running partner grabbed a bag of those one day instead of regular gummy bears and about killed me! It was too funny.

I thought I read that there is bus transportation from the host resort to WWoS.
I am planning on being at the expo when they open. I want to get there early before all the good stuff is gone!

I don't know about transportation from the hotels - i have only done the Minnie race last may, and there was no transportation to the expo from that race.. we went to HS, then took a bus to WWoS. Which , just in case is what i am planning on doing for this race too.. as i don't remember reading about the transportation to the expo, only to the race itself.

I agree, i want to go right away, and get my goodies and shop! LOL

I'll probably have to return to the expo on Saturday since my friend doesn't get in until late Friday night. Anyone think I should skip the expo on Friday and just head over first thing Saturday before we go to AK?

You can take the bus to DHS and transfer to WWoS from there. Plan on it taking a couple of hours for traveling time that includes waiting for the buses. It's a pain in the a.... For the EE they had buses that ran from the host resorts. I wonder if they will do something like that again for this race. It was great
