Question: For those of you who have booked All Star Movies...1. Who did you book through (AAA, Disney)? 2. What rate did you get?

Hi-
We are not staying at ASMov, but at CSR. I always use Melissa at MagicalJourneys.com for all of my travel arrangements. There is another travel agent site on this board and I understand they are good as well. I have just found that Melissa knows all the codes, knows all the "tricks" and gets me great rates that I never see on Disney.com. Also, even if I haven't talked to her for months, if the rates/codes change she is on top of it and changes it for me and then e-mails me the updated confirmations. She does all the work so I don't have to worry about it.

Also, there have been times when I wanted to stay at a particular resort, which according to Disney was all booked up. Melissa can often get me in.

If you use an agent, be sure to tell them if you are a FL resident or AAA member or Disney Visa cardholder or AP holder, etc. All these things, at different times, can get you better rates.

I read on another forum that transportation is only provided if you book through "Anthony" can anyone confirm this? What hotel options will provide transportation? I am between Wilderness Lodge and Poly! And also, you can walk if you go quick right? I don't know if I will be able to run all of it!Thanks!

Transportation is provided from All Star Movies, Caribbean Beach, and the Poly. I booked ASMo through Disney Sports for $122.04 (tax included) per night.

You absolutely can walk the entire half as long as you maintain a 16mpm pace. There are a lot of us who strictly walk!

keylime, they use to use Anthony travel in the past for races, but it doesnt' look like this one is. Nowhere does it say that you have to book thru AT to get transport. to the princess 1/2.. it just says that it will be provided from those hotels.
I booked the poly, and for the amount we are spending to stay there, you best bet they better let me on that bus! LOL

Seriously though, as long as you book at one of those hotels, you should be good to go!

Morning Ladies!

Got in my pilates/crunches last night. Training Run on tap for tonight. I am pretty much using the MfM run walk plan for a half marathon. I PR'd my race for the cure 5K over the weekend.

I am totally drawn by the power of the bling for all these races! Must have the bling. tiara medal, pirate medal, donald medal..... I plan on walking the one before the week before the princess since there is no real time limit for that one.

Key Lime- I was originally booked for POFQ, but wanted the bus transportation, so I switched to CBR. I would love to stay at the Poly, but darn it, I never seem to get a PIN number. They must know that I go multiple times a year, so why bother to give it to her.

Also, I am TOTALLY into the bling, too. I plan on wearing my Princess medal everywhere, even into Publix grocery. And when people ask me about it, I'll say "What? This old thing? Don't you have one, too?"

Speaking of bling, I already have a little tiara that I got b/c its Halloween season. It even says PRINCESS on it. I think I'm going to glue it to a baseball hat, so I can wear it securely during the race.

LOVE it! I think that planning the "outfit" will be half the fun! And yes, I will wear my bling everywhere!

Maybe I will look into CBR. We have never stayed there. Poly is on the momorail so that is appealing for the P&P party! I got a PIN for a discount MNSSHP tix after I bought them I wonder if the parties are not selling out? I am going to wait for the Christmas party until last second.

I hear ya, we NEVER have gotten a PIN, ever. And my inlaws have been going for over 20+ years at least once a year, but usally 2 or 3 times year. (We have been going with them for the past 5 years) but never got a PIN yet.

I noticed you are from Pem Pines, I grew up in Cooper City and went to Cooper City High! Small world! I used to train at 2 parks but I can't remember tha names?! One was off Flamingo I think and the other was "rugged" (for Florida)

If anyone is interested in the PRINCESS tiara. I got it at Target. It was hanging with official Disney Tiara's like Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, etc. Initially I was looking at those, but they were very "beady" and I thought the Princess one might hold up better b/c it was a solid "metal" (plastic) as opposed to "beady." Plus I liked the idea that it said PRINCESS on it , like our race. Don't get me wrong, it is cheap, and made for little girls, but I think I can work with it for the race.

I would like to announce that I have *finally* come up with a training plan!!! I decided to go ahead and run the Country Music Marathon on April 25. So I am combining the Non-Runner's Marathon Training plan with Cool Running's Beginner Marathon Training plan. I am also inserting a 2 week taper + 1 week recovery from marathon training to run the Princess 1/2. And when we go to WDW in Jan, I still plan on running some, but I have not scheduled training for that week.

What does all of this mean? I have got to get my trouble bug potty trained NOW! Official training starts the week of Nov. 2, so I only have 3 more weeks to get my schedule in order. Because when I am marathon training, running is one of my top priorities. Which means I have to get all of my other responsibilities in order. And this kid has got to go to preschool.

I have been off the boards for about a month - started back to work and also have twin boys! So I feel so out of touch. I wasn't sure where to look at the list to see if I was on it, but in case I'm not, I am running the 1/2 and staying at the Poly.
