Jeanneg My daughters will be flying out of RDU 3/5 and meeting me down there. We will be at Coronado. I want that Coast to Coast metal too!

As I said, this is a real quickie, so we're not leaving until Friday evening. The bad news is we're only going to be a Disney for a short time. The good news is..... we're going to be at Disney!

ghoulishgirl: Yep, I'm sure someone will plan a meet when the time gets closer.

i'm loving the Joe's New Balance website!!

I know it's going to be chilly and I'm going to want to peel off layers. So what do you do if you want a jacket? We don't end up where we start right? Or maybe I should just wear a tee shirt instead of a tank? What's the scoop?

Hey neighbor! :rotfl2: My inexpert opinion from being drug to Florida all the time to visit the inlaws is it's going to be chilly in the morning but not freezing cold. My plan is a blanket, old jacket, throw away thing that I'll ditch when I get warmed up and moving, and I'll have a long sleeved something in my bag for when I get done at the end. I plan on walking in a tanktop sports bra thing and a tshirt and skirt. I think once we're walking it's going to be fine. There's always the chance of freak weather, but for us South Georgia girls, that's my prognosis. Now my Northern girlfriends will probably be strutting around talking about how comfortable and lovely the weather is while I'm clutching my blankie like a lifeline! :lmao:

So true because 65 is cold to me. :rotfl: I'm thinking of a skirt and short-sleeve shirt and a throw-away jacket. A blanket is a good idea! There is a cute jacket I'm thinking of ordering and that will be after the race. I don't think I'll be wearing WISH colors but maybe I'll run into some of you anyway!

Man, i just checked that NB site Joan, and they don't have much at all in L/XL. and there aint' no way i am squeezing into anything other than at least a L. LOL

Guess i will stick with my black capris.

Any other good deals on skirts? I just can't swing $50 for one..

Check at Walmart or Target. They had some there last year. So they may have some this year.

Hey, i resemble that.. :rotfl2: When we were at WDW in Nov. I had a tank top on every a.m. when we went to the parks, and i know early in the a.m. it was probably about 60 degrees.. The "locals" were walking around with wool coats on - i'm serious - and gloves, and such.. I thought that was hysterical!! :rotfl: But, they all kept staring at me and asking where i was from.. :rotfl2:

BTW, it's SNOWING here again tonight.. I am sooo sick of this!

YEAH!!! MATT IS COMING TO HANG WITH ALL THE WISH PRINCESSES!! I'M ALL AFLUTTER!!

MATT IS THE MOST WONDERFUL WISH CHEERLEADER OF ALL TIME!:cheer2: :cheer2:

My husband still no sure if we should afford the Princess 1/2, so I am trying to collect as much info as I can so he'll go for it. The ASM is sold out but what about if you stay at the other AS can you still ride on the bus to the starting line? does anyboydy knows if they reached their cap yet, I was in Magic Kingdon this past weekend and a Cast Member said things were slow,

The Princess 1/2 is 90% full.
I do not know about the hotels as we do not stay on site, but I'm sure someone will let you know soon.

I originally booked at ASMu because I got a better deal with the OZI code than for the race rates at ASMo (based on a 5-night stay). I figured I would just walk over to ASMo to catch the bus. When I was at WDW for Expedition Everest Challenge, they didn't seem to care who got on the bus. Depending on which building you're in, it could be a short or long walk, but either way it's a good warm-up, right? :)

There'll be at least one room still available at ASMu for race weekend because I'm about to cancel my reservation. My parents and sister just decided to join me at WDW so I'm about to upgrade to CBR instead. :cool1:

Yeah Jeanne is going to be there!!! I am glad you are able to sneak a trip in. I am doing the same thing. The hotels are SO expensive that time of year. I booked a room at the Swan since it was less expensive with a AAA discount then the moderate Disney resorts with an AP discount. And I love the Epcot resort area. We tried the Dolphin during marathon weekend trip and loved it so we figured why not check out the Swan. We are only going to be in town Friday night (so staying at a HoJo on 192) and then Sat night at the Swan - planning on driving home a few hours after the 1/2 - I just hope the 3 hour drive won't make my muscles to lock up!! LOL Guess that is why I already told my DH we can't leave right away - might as well go to a park and enjoy while we are there.

Can't wait - this is getting closer and closer and I haven't gotten near enough miles in on my long run but I felt good during that run (I only got in 1 long run since the marathon and it was only 5 miles) have a 5k race on Sunday so don't know if I will get a long run in this weekend or not. I do still feel the endurance is there from the marathon so that is always good. Now I just need to work on my shirt - can't believe I am actually going to decorate a shirt special for the race - I couldn't resist though with the Princess theme. No tiera on my head though - I am not going that far. LOL

Yay Jeanne! So glad to hear you are making the trip!!!

Today I did C25K W2D2. I made it through, but that's about it. My arch started hurting, my ankle starting having a little pain. It was just one of those days... Part of it may be the new shoes. They are a neutral, but still have "Arch Lock" (they are Saucony) but part of it may be that all of my training has been done on the road and the last two days I have been on the TM due to the weather... Let's just hope the next work out is better! SIL and I have 8 miles on tap for this weekend and it is supposed to be gorgeous outside! Low 60s! I hope the weather man is right! :goodvibes

I am starting to get really excited! We are staying at CBR and I have never stayed there before!!! :hyper:

Her's hoping for no pain for you, Stacie.
I am really looking forward to staying at CBR too!

Oh,I just had to tell you my skirts came!!!
They were $13.50 each and no shipping. I ordered them Monday and they are here today!!!!!!! This is the site I wrote about the other day, Joe's New Balance Outlet.

Hey kids-

Just ran 3 miles in 35 degree weather. That's ridiculously cold for us. I don't know how our cold weather WISHers deal... I was whiny the whole time.

Joan- So, I was too cheap to get a $50 new skirt, and instead I went to the Joes site you recommended and spent $70 on a new skirt, shorts, and some shirts... I'm not really sure what happened.;) I can't wait for it to get here!

Stacie- hope your next run doesn't hurt! And 60 for the weekend sounds perfect!

For those of you worried about being cold in the morning, I get you. I was freaked out before the half in January. I took a throw away sweatshirt, cheap gloves to toss, and a fleece blanket. My mom and I sat on the blanket until the start and then tossed our sweatshirts around mile 3. We tossed the gloves around mile 4. It wasn't a problem. I'll probably bring a blanket or towel to sit on this time too regardless of the temperature- after all, the asphalt can snag your spiffy new skirt!

hey ladies the icky stomach flu finally got me on Monday night. It was rough. I am still tired today but hope to be back to normal for my run this weekend. I guess I am glad I got it now instead of a week before the race. Nice to lose 7 pounds just not a fun way do it.

Hope everyone is well and training is going good!!

That is why I'm so glad my gym has several treadmills. I know it's not the same, but I just can't run in weather colder than 60! brrrrrrrrr!

I was not able to work on it today but my hubby said ok if I find the right number$$, I know is 90% full but it is what it is and if God means for me to go well...still I am fully trained and I am increasing miles and speed to be in top shape, just in case I make it! I guess you are right about the hotel if I stay at the Music or the Sports worst cas scenario if they don't allow me to load in I ask Carlos to drop me by the finish line, I'll figure something out. Thank you for answering I look forward to meet you!
