:wizard: Hi, we are booking our first vacation to the Polynesian this November and are planning on staying two nights before our Disney Cruise. When pricing our vacation, I had all intentions of going with the theme-park view so we can see the castle/water/fireworks :) . The after doing some more research I found that for about $75 more, we could stay in Concierge garden view.

Now I find myself with a tough decision to make. Enjoy the spoils of the Concierge garden view or enjoy the water/theme park view. I know to some it may seem silly, I just want to know if the Concierge service is worth the extra money or should I stick with the theme-park view? Also, do any of the garden view rooms face the pool or marina??

Thanks for your help!! Can't wait to try the Poly it seems like a favorite for many!!:flower3:

The only plus to booking a Garden View Club Level room is that your guaranteed to be staying in the Hawaii Longhouse, which is one of the Longhouses that is located close to the Great Ceremonial House. When you don't stay Club Level or in a suite at the Poly you don't know which Longhouse you are going to be in until check-in. You can make requests for one you want to stay in, however since it's a request it might not happen. I am not sure what the Magic Kingdom view would be like in the other Longhouses, however I think you could end up in one that is far away from the Great Ceremonial House.

just go for the gusto and do lagoon view concierge.

Concierge is a benefit if you like a continental breakfast in the morning or you prefer to eat in the room-cereal, pastries etc. They offer snacks, soda, coffee, appetizers, and desserts at night. So you have to decide, will I be at the room in the afternoon early evening to enjoy the snacks or will you be at the parks all day. Do you plan to watch Wishes at the park, in your room with a MK view room, on the Poly beach, or the lounge in the concierge building? Also will you use the concierge services like making dinner reservations or special event tickets? Concierge is a nice splurge, but decide if, how or when you would use the extra services.

Personally, I love waking up to a view of the MK and Seven Seas Lagoon. We come back to the room during the day to enjoy the resort and view. We sit out on the lounge chairs, relax and watch the ferries and water mice. The garden view at the Poly will give you a garden view, maybe an obsturcted marina or water view, the lagoon view rooms will offer marina or water views. :)

We always opt for the Poly CL no matter what view. You automatically know which long house you'll be in. You have the lounge area with all the beverages and snacks. Have never had a bad view when stay GV CL. You normally will get something looking out at the adult pool area. And you can still go to the beach and see wishes. :)

I would opt for Club Level. As the other poster said you can go to the lounge to see the fire works. We have been dealing with the IPO for the past month planing our May trip and they have been tops with helping with our planning and to me that is a plus not having to worry about getting our dining reservations.

I make that choice all the time and choose club level over view. Like others have said, you have the whole lounge for the view. I love going to breakfast in the morning and looking out at the MK as I drink my coffee!!:wizard:

Concierge. but warning you won't go back to a regular room after that. ;)

I say go for the gusto too and book lagoon. :thumbsup2

:grouphug: Thanks so much for your replies!! It is truly a tough decision because we do plan on spending some time in the parks, but we also find ourselves enjoying the "perks" that concierge offers. Breakfast in the lounge sounds wonderful and the views are amazing..took a peak on Allears.net!! :cloud9: We are also ones who enjoy going back to the room, relaxing and sitting out on the balcony watching the world go by!! I love being near the water and many of you have suggested going with the Lagoon view...the best of both worlds! It is a splurge, and it will be my birthday and wedding anniversary....more reasons to celebrate!! I think concierge is a definite..now to see about going with the lagoon view!!:beach: :fish:

Oh my gosh, if you can't do LVC then definitely go for the GVC. You can go in the concierge lounge and watch the fireworks in there while you are enjoying the delicious deserts as well as an evening beverage. They dim the lights and play the wishes music. It is awesome!

Disney has renamed "concierge" to "Club level" and Club level is a much more accurate description of the "spoils."

Get the view. Disney's club level service is nothing to write home about.
