Yahooooooooooo! Just booked Polynesian Concierge Lagoon View Room for May!! And now that I have finished my conversation with the lovely lady at the CRO - of course my mind is flooded with questions . . . SO, what better place to ask than HERE!! She mentioned that we will be staying in Hawaii and that we would have a view of the Magic Kingdom. Does this mean that we'll be able to see the castle? Do any or all of these rooms have balconies. I requested a non-smoking room so will that dictate which floor I'm on - does the floor even matter when it comes to views? I am hoping that someone out there has stayed in a non-smoking lagoon view room in Hawaii and can address some of this stuff!! Other than that - any tips or special things I should try to request? Or any feedback from those who have stayed in other buildings? Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!! SO excited! (Can you tell?? ;) )

You should be excited. It's a special place.

All lagoon view concierge rooms have a view of the castle. First floor is non-smoking with lanais. Second floor has no balcony and is non-smoking. Third floor has balconies but is smoking optional.

Have a great time! Tikiman has a great site with lots of details but I don't know the link. I'm sure someone will post it.

Yes, you will have a view of the castle from LV in Hawaii. The 2nd floor does NOT have a balcony. Third floor is smoking optional and does have balconies. First floor rooms have patios. On Tikiman's site, a site dedicated solely to Polynesian Resort, you will find a complete list of which LV rooms have the "best" views of Cindy's Castle.

There are no bad locations in Hawaii as far as I'm concerned. Some people prefer to be nearer the lounge (2nd floor for food service) while others enjoy being at the opposite end for it's solitude.

Check out Steve's site--it's filled with great information! Feel free to ask away about Polynesian here too--there are plenty of us that are absolute devotees! :)

Enjoy your trip--you made a wise choice. Polynesian is definitely our favorite and its concierge is wonderful!

Room 1505 is fantastic! Non-smoking first floor--walk 15 feet from your patio to a swinging beach chair.

On the third fl I think the view is best (JMHO) it is a smoking opional fl but you can't smell smoke in the hall or the rooms.
The views are terriffic from Hawaii. But I do believe there are a couple of rooms with trees in the way partically on the second and third fls. I think Tikiman has them listed on his site.
It is a wonderful place. I know you will have a great time!!

E-mail the concierge and tell them you'd like a view of the castle. Not all lagoon concierge rooms have a view of the castle.

As others have said. The first and second floors are non-smoking. The first floor rooms have patios and the second-floor rooms have a sliding door that opens with a railing, but no balcony.

Have a nice trip.

Teresa :)

We had a great, unobstructed view of the castle from room 1512 a year and a half ago. Here's a link to my pictures if you'd like to see them (including the view):
