DH and I are heading to CBR and POFQ for a split stay - we were initially hoping to get an AP rate (standard room) at CSR but no luck so now I hope to get some info on this resort - one we have never been to.

We were spoiled with CBR as we knew exactly what area to request relative to transportation, privacy and of course, the food court. What building should we request at POFQ - more specifically, which one is known for p/u and d/o resorts guests at bus stops? Also, were can I find a great website that contains resort photos so I can start checking out where we will be staying - any help and advice you can give would be most appreciated!!

There is only one bus stop at the POFQ. Building 4 is the closest to the bus stop. Most rooms in building four or only a minute or two away from the bus stop. It's right next to the food court, and just a few minutes to the pool, maybe five minutes to the boat dock to Downtown Disney.

I am certainly no expert on POFQ, but I have stayed there. Don't really think it matters where you are--the resort is not that big. There are lots of pictures at allearsnet.com. It is a beautiful resort and I don't think you will be disappointed.

I've stayed there once and am going back in 2 weeks. It is very nice and compact, but still nicely landscaped. I stayed in building 5 which is very close to the food court( about a minute from my room) and close to the bus stop. Building 4 is closer, but only by about 1 minute. Compared to cbr, any building will be a short walk to the bus station. I like CBR, but it is spread out much more than POFQ. POFQ has a nice pool, but no quiet pool which is the only thing that keeps it from being perfect. The food court is smaller than CBR, but has a nice selection.

I agree with the above, in general everything is close together at POFQ compared to CBR. I love CBR and have stayed there repeatedly, but our one stay at POFQ was wonderful too. We were in building 1, which I believe is one of the farthest from everything. I found the walks there very short, nonetheless, because I was used to hiking around CBR (not that I mind that either, lol).

It is a lovely resort. Be sure to take the boat to and from DTD too. That was great, especially at night!

Thanks so much - is there a name of a building or area that I would request - it sounds like any of the bldgs. would be fine with us as we also love to walk (it's just we were spoiled with a particular area of CBR where the bus p/u and d/o first alsmot everytime:)
Any help on bldg. name would be great - is it the mansion area?

POFQ shares buses with POR, but picks up and drops off at POFQ first. Not sure if the buildings have names, we usally just ask for building (insert whatever buliding number you want.)
Also don't forget to try the Beignets.

We have stayed at POFQ and really like it. The bldgs are not named, only numbered. The mansions are actually at POR, which is next door. We are going to try out POR in June since we are having our Vow Renewal at Disney and a second honeymoon. POR seems like a really nice choice for that. We were in bldg. 1 at POFQ. It is the furthest away from everything, but we really enjoyed the quiet and we were able to stand out at the balcony and there were no runners or walkers on the path since bldg. 1 is the end (or start) of the path which made it seem very secluded and quiet. Even if it rained, you could walk under the balconies almost all the way to the food court and not get wet so that was a bonus for us with the refillable mugs. I agree with pooh 67_68. Make sure to try the beignets. They are addictive!

We love POFQ - it's such a compact resort that when you come back from a long day in the parks it's not a chore to walk back to your room.

Our last stay we were in building 5, room 5106 facing the laundry building, right across from the spa and caddy corner to the pool. It was the perfect location for us - literally 30 steps to the food court, 5 seconds to the pool, 15 seconds to the boat dock.

Very very nice resort. I would definitely stay here again.
