Calling All Petite Princesses Week Of 9/15

Great job for those who lost - Woo hoo! My WI is on Friday and scale shows me down today, so I'm expecting a loss this week as long as I keep at it. Some days are so much harder than others, and I find that when I come home from work- I feel like having sweets and junk. Luckily most days I can manage to stay away from them.

Hang in there everyone!

I'm sure your scale will show a loss.

I had a 1.4 lb loss this morning but it's not my official weigh-in.

Yeah!!

Mine was a .2 loss, and I know it should be much lower by Friday. I even walked 30 min this morning and another 40 at lunch. It all adds up!

Woo hoo - great job on your walk!

At my doctor's office yesterday, we put me on a weekly pill (for my bones) and the doctor said I had to take it with 8 oz of cold water and remain upright for 30 minutes...he then sweetly suggest that would be a good time to go for a WALK! :lmao:

I countered with dusting and vacuuming, because that's closer to the bathroom! OR, I could just DIS standing up!

.

I haven't lost a thing. I am now reading Dr. Phil's chapter on resistant weight loss. That is probably who I am.....which means twice as much effort for the same weight loss.

My biggest obstacle is EXERCISE! It is evil and I avoid it. That is why I am not losing any weight!

Ok, off my rant.

Eating is great....1200 calories, eating lots of fruits and veggies and lean protein. Eating hasn't really been much of a problem. But, without the exercise, it doesn't do anything for me.

I have to force myself to exercise. Once I start I usually finish, and I always feel better about myself afterwards. I've also made a deal with myself...for every week that I exercise everyday, I get to put $5-$10 in the kitty to put towards goal clothes. It gives me a double incentive: losing weight and new clothes. ;)

I hate the scale..... I gained 20 pounds :(( Im sobbing. My coworker lost 14 in two weeks and I feel like a moose. Then again Im eating meals at work witht the kids.

If I only knew........ I have no clue what I did. I guess saturday when mom had her seizure and I panicked and sundays fast food dinner probally didnt help. I need a diet.... Oh yea aunt flows in town so that accounts for a few pounds or so.

flying_babyb, you gained 20 pounds is just a couple of weeks???

OK, sweetie, first thing you need to do is MONITOR what you eat in a daily journal. Even if you aren't planing on starting a diet right this minute, you need to know exactly what you are putting into your mouth. Keep track of the time you eat and what your mood is at the time. Be sure and monitor beverages too. Sometimes, just being conscious of what you are doing can create better habits.

That's a good place to start.:thumbsup2

Okay, I agree with ibounce that a food journal is a great thing. I do WW Flex and I keep a journal with what I eat and my Points totals.

I'll have fast food, I just make sure I have the points for it and I'm still losing weight.

I'm also exercising. I walk, mostly, but I also do Pilates for muscle tone.

Anyone here eat less than 1200????

The last time I actually lost weight I was between 1000-1100 per day. I really think programs are afraid to say to go below 1200, but it can't possibly be that my friend on the same diet, who is 5'5" and I (who am 4'11") should eat the same amount, can it?

I know if I go over 1200 a day I start to gain or stall.

Now, when I was losing I was eating around 1000 calories a day AND walking at least 2.5 miles 5 times per week. I *could* walk 5 miles per day and add calories, but I just don't have 1.5 hours per day to exercise either.

I just think the calorie formulas are based on average sized people.

Thoughts?

I don't know how many calories I eat, honestly. I only keep track of WW Points.

I do know that they say under 1200 your body goes into starvation mode but, like the BMI, I don't think that takes into consideration height, frame, body fat percentage, muscle mass or anything else.
That kind of question I would ask your doctor just to be on the safe side.

I really don't know if I belive in the starvation mode theory. I think the main problem is going hungry and overeating and then undereating again. Lap band surgery patients LOSE weight! They eat few calories and don't have starvation mode.

I once had a doctor tell me to go on an 800 calorie a day diet. I didn't do it. I think I could comfortably do 1000 though. I have lost on that before, IF I also exercised.

Finally got my fat butt on the treadmill today. I have got to get back in the habit. Once it is a habit I am fine.

Jackie you CRACK ME UP - but then again you always do!

Oh, sweetie I'm sorry you are sad. Don't beat yourself up... When you KNOW better we DO better. Ok, hopefully you are in the mood for some peppy talk. I hate when people try and cheer me up and I'm not READY! :cheer2: In either case - dont beat yourself up. That was the first thing I learned in therapy! I'm not crazy - I've just been in a bad mood for 40 years. (A line from Steel Magnolia's) and it seemed appropriate.

Well since I've been gone I'll fill you all in. I weigh the SAME, doing the SAME thing and still not exercising. So see, you can be a cheerful team player :cheer2: and STILL not have you (my) sh it together! :rotfl2: Now that the weather has turned cooler however I am moving more (not exactly exercising but THINKING about it now. I've got T-Tapp tapes and I loved them so I am going to start them this week! Even if I have to do them at night.

Jackie is right, writing things down really makes you aware of things that SLIP into your mouth!

Just keep thinking about your body being healthy, THINK about your goal, the Olympian's always vizualize. Keep up the GREAT work all you LOSERS! (IT's a good word on this thread). I'll try and be better about checking in and even if I'm not losing, I'll try and keep it peppy and supportive! SHORT CHICKS ROCK!

800 calories. That's insane!

As for exercising, yeah, I do. Since I exercised everyday last week I get to put money towards goal clothes. :thumbsup2 That's my reward for daily exercises.

I'm now going to try the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. Heard it's butt-kicking intense but that it really gets results. So I'm all for results!

Official weigh-in was this morning. Last week was 163.8, this week 161.6, so down 2.2 lbs. Measurements don't seem to want to move, either.

Im not even gonna weigh in this week I know the dreaded answer.... ALOT. My great grandmother died and well, planning is stressful.. and choclate is so good.
