Calling all penny pressers!!...found a GREAT cleaner!!

just wanted to share...

i had tried the ketchup, the vinegar.....pennies still looked very yucky. i happen to have a bottle of "The Works" tub & tile cleaner. OMG!! as soon as i poured it on the pennies, it was like magic! all my pre-1982 pennies look like brand new ones! i stirred them around a little, and had an old toothbrush handy....but it wasn't needed.

i got it at walmart for $1.98

just wanted to all the penny people know.

i don't have any pressed pennies yet, but i don't see why it wouldn't work on those too.

About the penny presses-the penny that I put into the machine.....is that the same one that will be pressed or does the machine save them up and its luck of the draw? I ask because I put in a shiney penny but in the machine the one that came up was not shiney.

They aren't collected. It is the same penny you put in. Perhaps yours got some 'gunk' on it from previous dirty pennies.
