Thanks neighbor. Yes it is our first trip home. Sorry we didn't buy into DVC earlier. We went to see a presentation when it was first offered and at that time OKW was $55 per point.

We'll be at BCV from 8/14 - 8/22.

On Friday 7/21, I was pumping gas at the Hess at exit 19 of I-87 (Queensbury). The car nose to nose with mine had the license "DVC MBR" (or maybe it was DVC MMBR). The station was very busy or I would have struck up a conversation. I did wonder if it was someone on the boards.

That is too weird. If only because I was in Queensbury that day as well (radio show), but I got gas across the street (easier to pull in off of the Northway)

dvcmbr94, I really wanted to say hello, but that parking lot was so crazy busy just then. I also had my daughter in the car with me, coming home from Girl Scout camp. IOW, not in a very clean state!

Fonzy, I noticed how much quieter those gas stations were, with the same price on gas. Since I ended up going back toward Rte. 9 anyway (daughter was hungry) I was thinking I should have gone to that side of the road.

But then I wouldn't have seen DVCMBR94 and we wouldn't be having this whole conversation.

BTW, I'm not a DVC owner, I just came across this thread in some late-night browsing. But I really DO live in the Saratoga area. And I will be heading north to Queensbury to shop much more often since the track opens tomorrow.

To all the Long Islanders - I had a Disney moment tonight. We were in Port Jefferson walking by the boats and Danfords and my 20 yo DD said "this reminds me of the Beach Club!".

To all the Long Islanders - I had a Disney moment tonight. We were in Port Jefferson walking by the boats and Danfords and my 20 yo DD said "this reminds me of the Beach Club!".

I live in Port Jefferson and I've never looked at it that way! Maybe your DD will give me a new perspective. I do love my hometown though!

We'll be down at OKW for our wedding anniversary next Friday for 4 days! First time to WDW no kids!!(and we aren't telling them "exactly" where we are going; just "florida" ) lol!!

I have Plates on my car that say: DVC 00 - People think it means I got divorced in 2000 so I say we bought Disney Vacation Club in 2000. If anyone see them feel free to say HI
