O.K. here's the deal. You probably all know I'm pregnant and also probably know that with my 1st pregnancy I was REALLY sick(hyperemesis gravidarum) and it lasted throughout the entire pregnancy-although with the help of compozine it let up quite a bit.
I've been posting here and there about how I feel during this pregnancy.I was quite nauseous at first. The thought of food made me green. Then I thought I had it all figured out....if I ate small meals all day long I would be fine.WRONG!!!!!!!!! About 2 weeks ago it really kicked in.I couldn't keep anything in.It didn't matter where I was!Not to be gross but I had to keep bags with me because I was even sick in the car!!!(Just like last pregnancy!)My DH said "This is bringing back memories!"LOL
Anyways,Sunday I couldn't even leave the house because I was so sick right up until I went to bed. Then all of a sudden Monday came and POOF no more nausea, no more getting sick!!!!I've been eating EVERYTHING for 3 days and I'm feeling fine!!!Yay!!!I'm 10 1/2 weeks now.
So here's my question. Is this the way it normally happens? You just wake up 1 day and feel fine?Or does it usually gradually subside?I just think this is SO bizarre!!I'm THRILLED but a little sceptical that it may "come back" in a few days!Tell me it's over PLEASE!!!!
I feel human again and don't want it to stop!LOL

If I remember correctly, I felt better "all of a sudden" too. I had the usual first three months of MS with DS1, but it was 5 1/2 months of MS with DS2. That was miserable. Even got a shot for it, but it didn't do any good. BUT I could eat Arby's Beef and Cheddars! :p Go figure! Pretty gross, huh?

In any event, glad to hear you are feeling better. The second trimester is always the best IMHO.

Well, I had to deal with morning sickness many, many years ago but I have vivid memories of it! With my DS I was sick from the time I was 6-weeks pregnant until the day he was born (even during labor). I threw up every single day, sometimes 2-3 times a day. It was awful. Doctor never recommended any medication or anything though, so I just "dealt with it." I really don't understand how I gained so much weight as the calories never stayed in my system very long! *LOL*

With my DD I was afraid the same thing was going to happen, and it did seem to start out that way. I tried compazine, but after taking it for 3 days I had a severe allergic reaction to it so had to discontinue it and go back to just "putting up with it." But after a few weeks the morning sickness gradually went away and I actually enjoyed being pregnant with her!! :D

Glad to hear your morning sickness is better "this time 'round" :D
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!!

I was so very sick with DS and DD from 6-20 weeks. I could not get out of bed on some days and also carried bags:rolleyes: ! Mine gradually started tapering off beginning at 16 weeks. I did have a miscarriage between the 2 pregnancies and it was very different. I was only sick about 4 weeks and miscarried 2 weeks after that stopped.
The only thing I could stomach with either was a coke icee:p ! I do hear that many pregnancies are very different. You probably should not have posted as you will be sick as a dog tomorrow;) ! Good luck!:D

I was afraid you might say that!!!LOL
I already had an ultrasound and my OB said that with the way everything looked that there is less than a 2% chance of me miscarrying at this point.Fingers crossed.
If I keep eating the way I have for the last 3 days I'll be HUGE but at least I'll be full!LOL With DS the only time I felt full was when I was having fluids pumped into my veins!!!!LOL

I was CONSTANTLY nauseous with my first. I was sick until abut 25 weeks, and that's when the pre-eclampsia started setting in. so, when I got pregnant with DS, I was anticipating the worse. I wasn't sick all the time, but still sick. But around 10 weeks, I started feeling better. So, it could just be that you've turned a corner!!!

please,please,please let it be true!!!!
