We went this past Dec. and attended 2 MVMCP's. We are going in Oct. to the MNSSHP for the first time with our 5 year old DD. We are wondering can everything be done in one night or should we purchase tickets for the 13th and the 16th? We would appreciate any advice you experts may have concerning the MNSSHP. I am assuming that the amount of activities planned for the MNSSHP are as not as many as the MVMCP. ::yes::

Have a great day!!

I wuld buy tickets for two nights depending on how much you enjoy and it and what you want to do.
We did attend two nights of MNSSHP last year. One because it was on Halloween night. And the other just because I could not wait! ;) :cool1:
I liked MNSSHP much better than MVMCP.
The evening goes by very fast at MNSSHP. It is great to have most everything a walk on. And LOTS of trick or treating! :jumping4:

We went on an off night (the Sunday PRIOR to Halloween) and were able to do everything we wanted. Didn't wait in line for more than one ride cycle for anything (Dumbo, Philharmagic etc). Got a great spot for the Parade and a great spot for the fireworks without having to camp out. So if you are going on an off night you should be fine with just one night.

We did both this year and I loved the MNSSHP BEST! I will make sure we do them both again in the future for sure! There were blasts of lots of people, but we were able to walk around and do all the things we wanted to do in one night with little or no waiting.

That said, when our boys are bigger and want to ride even more rides (too short for most of the thrill rides still), I think a 2nd night would be worth it if you can swing the cost and the time to be there! It is magical!

I think you can do it in one night if you pick a Sunday night or mid-week night. We went mid-month and there were no lines anywhere. We had plenty of time for pictures with characters, trick or treating and riding rides.

We did the 2nd MNSSHP last year (Sunday, Oct. 3rd). It was actually pretty crowded (in comparison to how the parks were during the day). We just concentrated on doing all of the fun Halloween things that weren't offered any other time. We actually found that the ride lines were much less crowded during the day, so we didn't ride on the night of MNSSHP. We had plenty of time to do all of the "Special" things, but if we would have been riding too, I would have definitely wanted another night.

we did MNSSHP on 10/8 and only got to 1/2 the park
we were so disappointed that we didn't have time for everything so
next time we do it we will definatly do to nights or at least not a friday night

You can definitely do everything in one night. But, you'll have so much fun, you may want to do it a second night!

MNSSHP is a blast! Dh and I did MVMCP first and we liked the Holloween party much better. We did the trick and treat-I haven't gotten that much candy since I was a little kid:) And we didn't wait in line or hold up the kiddies, it was so quiet, especially late at night. They aren't shy about letting the grownups in on the fun. Wear a costume, I know your daughter probably will, but do something for the adults too. We were worried about it being hot(it was near 90 that day) so we made t-shirts. White shirts with a orange felt mouse head silhouette ironed on. Looked good, was comfy and we got a lot of great comments from the cm's. One saw us the second time and pointed us out to other cm's-'great costumes'. We had a wonderful time and would have gone back for a second night if there were tickets available. It was funny, dh didn't really want to costume beforehand, by the end of the night he was looking for prince and princess costumes in the shop for a second night! One hint, go on a Sunday or Tuesday night, they seem to be the least crowded nights. Halloween proper sells out months in advance. Enjoy the party!

Thanks everyone for the advice so far, :wave2:

It sounds like the MNSSHP is much more fun than the MVMCP.I thought it could not get any better, but it sounds like it does!!

Have a great day!!
